Tower 7 Baja Mexican Grill
Some of most authentic baja-inspired recipes on the east coast! A staple every-time they are in Wilmington. Abigayle loves the Baja Chopped Salad and Stephen loves the Mondo Burrito. Don't forget a Wannabe Margarita.
Blueberry’s Grill
Blueberry’s Grill is a Mediterranean-themed American casual dining restaurant chain, serving American cuisine, based in NC and SC. Perfect spot for Brunch! If you go, you have to try their famous blueberry hushpuppies.
Bluewater Waterfront Grill
Moving seasonally, their menu is rooted in fresh, local favorites provided by North Carolina's bountiful fishing season, whenever possible. Perfect spot for a more upscale lunch or dinner on the water!
Dockside Restaurant
A Carolina tradition for over 30 years. Since first opening its doors, Dockside has been synonymous with great food and a casual, relaxed, rustic atmosphere. Perfect spot on the water for a casual lunch or dinner outing! Abigayle and Stephen recommend the crab dip and sitting outside to watch the boats.
K38 Baja Grill
Same operation as Tower 7! This location is only 5 minutes from the venue. It is also a lot larger than Tower 7, so you shouldn't have to wait.
Indochine Restaurant
One of Abigayle's favorites! Enjoy the finest Thai-Vietnamese cuisine in a beautifully decorated environment. Try to sit outside in one of the huts!
Battleship North Carolina
For any history buffs, you will love touring the NC Battleship. Stephen and Abigayle introduced their mothers for the first time at the ship! Abigayle little brother Cutter, 13 at the time, stole the show and planned the rest of the day in downtown Wilmington.
Wilmington Riverwalk
After you are done exploring the battleship, pop over the bridge directly into downtown Wilmington to explore the Riverwalk. It is lined with beautiful cobblestone streets, amazing seafood restaurants, lots of history, and local shops. You can even book a horse drawn carriage ride if you want to see it all. One Tree Hill fans might see some familiar locations!
Wrightsville Beach
If you are more of the relaxing type, like Abigayle and Stephen, spend your open day at one of the many free beach accesses on Wrightsville Beach. You do have to pay for parking, but the beautiful beaches are well worth it.
North Carolina Aquarium at Fort Fisher
**Only for those with a car and time to spare!** The North Carolina Aquarium is a staple to NC residents with some incredible sea life including an albino alligator. This is a great option if you have little ones that need entertainment. Please note: the Aquarium is roughly 35 minutes from Wrightsville Beach.
