Sun Valley LodgeSun Valley Lodge
The historic heart of Sun Valley and America's first destination ski resort, the Sun Valley Lodge has an elegant bar as well as lounge rooms with fireplaces and leather chairs. The adjacent Sun Valley Village offers restaurants, shops, and a movie theater all within walking distance. On your way to the lodge, stop by Sun Valley Stables to visit the horses - they're located right off Sun Valley Road near the resort. The lodge is on the way to our wedding venue and is worth a detour during your trip.
Bald MountainBald Mountain
Bald Mountain is where we've spent countless days snowboarding together and where Shelby grew up skiing. During the summer, you can take the gondola and lifts to the top for some of the best views of the valley.
RoundhouseRoundhouse
Roundhouse serves French Fare at the top of Bald Mountain with some of the most beautiful views of the valley. We highly recommend the fondue. As a note, a gondola ticket is required in order to access the restaurant and reservations are highly recommended.
Pioneer SaloonPioneer Saloon
The Pioneer just earned a 2025 James Beard America's Classics award for capturing the spirit of the American West. Originally opened in the 1940s as a casino, it's famous for locally sourced steaks, massive Idaho potatoes, and Western artifacts. The Pioneer is our favorite dinner spot in town; if you stop in we recommend ordering a Jim Spud or Prime Rib.
The KneaderyThe Kneadery
The Kneadery is our go to breakfast and is within walking distance of all of the hotels in Ketchum. We recommend trying the Cowboy Benny or Idaho Rocky Mountain Benny.
Java On FourthJava On Fourth
Java is our go to coffee spot and there are multiple locations throughout the valley. We highly suggest stopping in for their signature drink a "Bowl of Soul" at some point during your stay.
Grumpy'sGrumpy's
Grumpy's is a local favorite, a burger joint that is famous for their beers and mimosas served in giant Schooners. This is our favorite place to spend New Years Day every year.
Sun Valley OutfittersSun Valley Outfitters
Sun Valley has some of the best fly-fishing in the United States. Sun Valley Outfitters offer guided trips for all skill levels, gear rentals, and have a full-service fly shop in downtown Ketchum. A family friend owns this shop and they'll take great care of you if you stop in.
