Las Chivas Restaurant at the Hilton Cartagena Hotel
Experience the vibrant culinary offerings with an indoor dining area and two outdoor terraces providing options for both sun-soaked and breezy atmospheres, offering a colorful local-flavored buffet for breakfast (included in room block) and transforming into a gourmet dining destination for dinner, with the Al Forno terrace featuring delectable Italian dishes.
Executive Lounge at Hilton Cartagena Hotel
The executive lounge on tenth floor on the Executive Tower offering a magical panoramic view over Cartagena and the Caribbean Sea. This is $20 a day to get in but does have happy hour 6-8pm
Tours!!!
-City tour: tours around the city take you through residential neighborhoods that border the Cartagena bay. Visit the Popa Monastery and fortress of San Felipe de Barajas. located just outside the walled city. It is recognized as the most remarkable military edification for the New World. Finally the tour guide will take you on a stroll through the Walled city known as Ciudad Amurallada, with a stop at the Church of Saint Peter Claver. Wander through the narrow cobblestone streets of the historic center, surrounded by well-preserved colonial architecture, colorful buildings, and charming squares. Duration: 3 1/2 hours. -Walking Tour: tour takes 3 hours. -Night tour: The famous traditional "Chiva" pick up from the hotel at 8:15pm for a night-time around the city then a drop off at a club or can get dropped back off at hotel. The tour takes about 2 1/2 hours. (We did this and it was so much fun basically a party bus while exploring then dropped off at a very fun club!)
Relax in Plaza de Santo Domingo
This lively square is surrounded by restaurants, cafes, and street performers. It's a great place to soak in the atmosphere, enjoy a meal, or people-watch.
Explore Getsemani
This trendy neighborhood just outside the walled city is known for its street art, vibrant nightlife, and bohemian atmosphere. It's a great place to find unique shops, art galleries, and local cuisine.
Tierrabomba/Namaste/Fenix Beach
-Tierrabomba: Fenix Beach: 9:30am departure from La Bodeguita. Day at leisure in Fenix Beach, boat ride and lunch are included. Departure taxes from the tourist dock not included. -Namaste: Beach club in Tierrabomba Island- includes round trip, transportation from 9-5pm. Welcome drink, beach bed, lunch are included. -Special dinner at Fenix Beach: Departure from pier La Bodeguita at 7pm or 8pm. Return at 10pm. Includes: welcome drink, dinner, DJ, and wood fire. -The Bay at sunset: Departure from La Bodeguita, Cartagena's tourist pier to enjoy the sunset. Sibarita Express or Sibarita Master will be the boats. Enjoy a complimentary open bar. -Dinner in Sibarita Express or Master. Departure from La Bodeguita at 7pm and return at 9pm. (we did this and it was so fun! We did the express it was cheaper and still amazing) includes: appetizers, meal, desserts, and a bottle of wine/beer) Can also get a drink from the bar if not wanting wine.
Take a boat to the Rosario Archipelago
These picturesque islands offer beautiful beaches! Recommend only booking through Hilton. $115 max price but snorkeling not included in this price. Most islands are an hour away. You can pick one of these options for a day tour price depending where. -Isla San Pedro de Majagua: 8am arrival at La Bodeguita's port. Offers two beach areas and includes welcome cocktail, towels, and port tax in the price. -Isla del Sol: 8am arrival with one beach area and a salt water pool. -Isla Cocoliso: 8am arrival this is a resort experience. -Coralina Island: 8am pick up at the hotel, two areas are available reg and vip. -Bora Bora: 7:30am arrival that has a beach club with two areas basically a party on the beach -Pao Pao: 7:30am arrival including beach and pool. -Sabal: 7:45am arrival -Isla del Encanto: 8am pick up time but return on your own. Has a beach and salt water pool. -Aura Sport Baru: 8:30am pick up You will incur in additional expenses on this tour so make sure to bring cash-pesos.
Mangroves Area- fishing
8am pick up at the Hilton and transportation to the mangroves, canoe ride, fishing show and typical lunch are included. Return by 3pm. - Entrance not included in price.
Aviario Nacional de Colombia
Aviary: 8am pick up in the hotel and drive one hour to Baru Island. Enjoy the aviary with 1900 bird species. Return at 3pm but entrance not included in price.
El Totumo
Departure at 8am from Hilton and a little drive to the natural mud volcano. After stop by a fisherman's village for a lunch of Caribbean fare. Approx 5hrs.
