BJ’s Barbecue
We're regulars at BJ's. It's award-winning BBQ. And they have cornbread and a s'mores dessert. Ashley loves cornbread and Keith loves S'mores.
Sierra-at-Tahoe Resort
There's snowboarding, skiing, but most importantly, tubing. We haven't done this here, but Ashley went tubing in Colorado lots of times. Its so fun and you don't even need to hike up the hill when you're done. It's $30.00 for 2 hours, but make a reservation first! Make sure you bring your winter gear if you're planning on tubing!
Donner Memorial State Park
Yes, this is the site for the Donner Party Memorial. It's a pretty little state park and Keith and Ashley went there on a date once. Don't go if it's snowing, that's how it all began!
The Brewery At Lake Tahoe
One of the best things in the winter is to sit by a fire and drink your cocoa. We've heard this is the place to do it.
Golden Gate Bridge
If you want to take a day-trip and extend your adventure in Reno, you could go see the Golden Gate Bridge in San Francisco! It's a little more than 3 hours away, but you've come all this way already.
Spanish Springs High School
You probably can't go in, since it's Christmas Break, but this is Ashley's school. She moved here on a whim to teach here. She teaches theatre and is incredibly proud of her program and the things she and her students have accomplished together.
