Dún a Rí Forest Park
This park is in walking distance from Cabra Castle. It is famous for its wishing well. Dun a Ri Forest Park forms part of what was formerly the Cabra Estate which was owned by the Pratt family. Legend stretches back to the time of Cuchullain the Gaelic warrior who rested in these woods while fighting the armies of Queen Maeve of Connaught. The O’ Reilly family owned the lands up until the end of the 16th century when they were acquired by Thomas Fleming who built Flemings Castle . The ruins of the castle can still be seen in the park. The estate was acquired by the Pratt family and they built the town of Kingscourt in the years 1760-1770.The lands were acquired by the Irish Forest Service in 1959 and were developed into a forest park in the early 1970s.
Carlingford Lough / Cooley Peninsula
This area is easily accessible from Dundalk- 30 minute drive/bus. It has beautiful scenery and fun things to do. Please check out the link for more info.
Titanic Belfast
We will be providing information on a day trip to Belfast, with one of the highlights being the Titanic Tour! Belfast is a 1 hour train ride from Dundalk, costing about 10 Euro for a ticket. See Schedule tab to RSVP!
Guinness Storehouse

Galway
Although our venue is not close to Galway, we still recommend guests make time to visit this lively city. You can book tours from Galway to see other major sites like the Cliffs of Moher.
