Just fifteen minutes from the Reception location, White Bear Lake provides a lovely downtown filled with darling shops and enjoyable walking paths either on the main street or near the lake.
Across the highway from our Reception venue you can find a beautiful park with shelters around Lake Keller. Filled with paths, bridges, and plenty of room to gather, this park provides plenty of opportunity for fresh air right next door!
This coffee shop has a darling atmosphere and something for everyone. The McKown family has tried some of their specialty drinks each year at the Minnesota State Fair!
For delicious flavors and photo-worthy presentation, this coffee shop is an event in it of itself! Jane recommends trying the S'mores latte.
They have great food and great beer and make sure someone gets the fries. We rate them 10/10!
If you're coming from the West side of the city, this is a great spot to stop on your way in. JJ's is where Peter first met all the McKown's and we have been back many times!
Another snacks/drinks spot, Wooden Hill offers a great location not too far from the airport or mall.
If you enjoy a seasonal cocktail at a swanky venue, this is the place to stop. They have a fantastic Pickle Mint Gimlet that was delish but remember, one of Jane's favorite foods is pickles! That could be just a summer drink so don't quote us!
A great distillery with plenty of parking, in-house games (think ping pong, badminton, and mini bowling), and a $5 gin and tonic!
A budget-friendly zoo and park that is fun for the whole family! Look at the animals and plants or take a walk around the nearby lake for an outdoor actvity. PLEASE NOTE: Reservations are still required as of 12/12/21
This is a great park to walk around and view the beautiful falls. Depending on the weather, it may or may not be frozen!
