Question

What about COVID-19?

Answer

We are aware that the COVID-19 pandemic is far from over. Our hopes are that, by July 2021, many of us will be vaccinated against COVID-19 and it will be safer to gather and celebrate together. Our wedding will be outside, and evidence shows that outdoor events are safer, compared to indoor events, because it is difficult to contract COVID-19 from another person outdoors. That said, if you are feeling unwell or believe you have had COVID-19 exposure, please do not attend the wedding festivities. For your own wellness and the health of others, we also encourage everyone to take a COVID-19 test before traveling to attend the wedding, if you are able. We may be asking our guests to socially distance themselves at the event and to have a mask. Rest assured that we will be updating our plans accordingly. If the pandemic is worse in July 2021, we may postpone this wedding event as a last resort. Please know that we subscribe to science-based information and value having a safe wedding!

Question

What is the attire for your wedding?

Answer

The attire for the wedding is Mountain West/Fancy-Casual Attire. In other words, feel free to dress yo'self up, but we encourage you to prioritize comfort! Heels are strongly discouraged due to the rustic nature of our property. Bring layers for the cool evening temperatures.

Question

Where should we stay?

Answer

Please see Travel tab for our recommendations for where to stay. Lodging books up very quickly for the summer in Teton Valley, so we recommend making plans for where to stay ASAP.

Question

If we fly to your wedding, which airport should we fly to?

Answer

Please see the Travel tab for more information on the two airports we recommend flying to.

Question

Can we bring our dogs?

Answer

If you know us, you know we LOVE OUR DOGS. However, to avoid run-away dogs (there is no fenced in area at our property), canine on canine chaos, possible food thievery and renegade dog poops, we ask that you do not bring your furry friends to the evening festivities. Please contact us if you need an exception.

Question

Will there be jamming?

Answer

Why, we're so glad you asked! Music is a very important part of our lives. If you want to bring an instrument, we encourage you to! We hope that folks want to play some tunes at some point (and at every opportunity) during the wedding weekend. The bride would also like to play with you. ;-)

Question

Things are open on Sunday in Teton Valley, Right?

Answer

Ehhh, not really. Many businesses are closed on Sundays (don't worry, not coffee places usually), due to the religious nature of the local community. If you need something from a grocery store, we highly recommend getting it before Sunday. Many restaurants and the natural foods store Barrels and Bins in Driggs are open on Sunday.

Question

Other Things to Know

Answer

The wedding location is at approximately 6200' above sea level. Please remember to stay hydrated if you are coming from a lower elevation! Because of the elevation, night temps will cool down a bit. Come prepared with light layers. We will have lighting along pathways and in the reception area, but the property is very rustic and it is a good idea to throw a headlight or flashlight in your purse or car for when it gets dark, later in the evening. However, days are long at our latitude in the summer time. Sunset will be at 8:58pm on the night of the wedding.
