Man of Honor
It’s a little embarrassing, but I have to confess that I don’t actually remember meeting Tessa. It was definitely one of the crazier events in my life. For those who know us, our relationship certainly speaks for itself (and you’ll get to witness that in all its glory on the big day!). Nice lady. I’ve had the pleasure of getting to know Alan throughout the more lucid years of my life, and have found in him the brother that I never imagined I would be so honored to have. To a lifetime of happiness and love, and plenty more opportunities for me to mooch from your bottomless well of hospitality and kindness. Love, Max
Best Man
Alan is far more than a brother to me. He is a role model, a mentor, an irreplaceable friend and confidant who has remained generous, loving, and humble even as he blazes a path of tremendous success in the world. It brings me the greatest joy to know that Alan has met an individual who encompasses the very same rare set of qualities, and with whom Alan shares an incredibly special bond. I’ve watched Tessa and Alan’s relationship blossom for over six years, and I look forward to watching it blossom for another 75! I wish Alan and Tessa a lifetime of joy and happiness in their marriage — provided that Tessa eventually learns the rules of chess.

My friendship and roommate-ship with Tessa blossomed after a fortuitous night of prospective roommate interviews at the Bayit, UCLA’s Jewish co-op. From LA to the Bay, I have had the pleasure of witnessing Tessa and Alan’s love grow and mature into a beautiful partnership. I wish Tessa and Alan a lifetime of beautiful Shabbats, brunches, nature walks in the park, and eternal happiness!

I met Tessa and Alan in a dive bar in Reno back in ’07. I was there for an internship. Sure, there was tension between me and Alan. But, at times, you need to step aside and let those you care about be happy. To the happy couple! -LC

Hey, I’m Maggie! Also known as Tessa’s random roommate from Craigslist - proving that life long friendships can be found on the internet. Tessa and Alan welcomed me to San Francisco where they’ve taught me the fun of singing Shabbat prayers and shared the warmth of their friendship. I couldn’t be more excited to celebrate their next chapter together and I wish them all of the joy and happiness!

I first met Tessa at my first UCLA JAM shabbat during freshman year, but it wasn’t until junior year that we became closer friends. That year, she introduced me to her then boyfriend, current fiancé, and future husband, Alan. At the time, I thought I’d never see him again but, PLOT TWIST, he turned into one of my best friends and confidants! Seeing the evolution of their relationship has made it clear that Tessa and Alan are relationships goals. I wish them lifetime of love filled with tons of travels, plethoras of pumpkin patches and bunches of bottomless mimosas!

I met Tessa and Alan when we were all undergraduates at UCLA. Our friendship grew through late nights working on Ha’Am, trips to the dining hall, and all-hours study sessions at Kerkhoff. Tessa and Alan are my best friends, confidants, role models, and spiritual guides. I have had the privilege to third wheel as their relationship blossomed from a college flirtation to a mature adult partnership. Tessa and Alan are two of the most loving and thoughtful people I know, and I am beyond excited to continue to watch them build a life together. Though I am still living in Los Angeles, I enjoy my frequent trips to the bay to visit my favorite couple and drink wine, play games, and walk through Golden Gate Park.

It’s hard to put into words just how perfect Alan and Tessa are for each other. I’ve tried, but Alan normally helps me out with this sort of thing and it would’ve been really obvious if I copied Ben. I’m honored to be part of your special day! Wish the two of you a lifetime of love and happiness!

I met Tessa at UCLA Hillel's freshman retreat the second weekend of college, and we became fast friends. A week later she introduced me to Alan, her cool third-year even faster friend, at a challah baking event. My close friendship with these two was a defining part of my college experience and is continually an important part of my life that I cherish. I am so happy to have witnessed their love story from inception through happily ever after!

It was the best of times, it was the worst of times, it was the age of wisdom, it was the age of foolishness, it was the epoch of belief, it was the epoch of incredulity, it was the season of light, it was the season of darkness, it was the spring of hope, it was the winter of despair. I first met Alan when the birds began to migrate back north after the long winter of 2013/14. We immediately bonded over our disdain for USC. Not long after, I met his better half, Tessa. I couldn’t be happier for the two of them and wish them a lifetime of happiness and foolishness. -Charles Dickens/Justin Willner

I am so excited and honored to be a part of Tessa and Alan’s wedding because I truly believe that they are a power couple to be reckoned with. Their kindness, generosity, and joy is always special to be around. I could not have felt more lucky to have roomed with Tessa at UCLA for 2 years, minus the weekends when Alan would come down from the Bay to visit. I cannot wait to see the beautiful marriage they will build together.

I met Alan at Wells Fargo, in the fall of 2013. The moment our eyes locked, the bromance sparks began to fly. The autumn air was crisp, but the heat, was undeniable. Our mutual admiration burned red, like the falling leaves of the maple trees at UCLA’s Mildred E. Mathias’ Botanical Garden, footsteps from where Tessa & Alan’s love bloomed, years ago. I’ve had the pleasure of knowing them both, and cannot think of a better pair, of good to the core people. Conversations with either one, warm my heart, them together will warm the world. I am beyond excited to witness their marriage!

On one festive Hanukkah night, I met Tessa and Alan at a dinner party and was immediately struck by how warm and welcoming they were as individuals and as a couple. As my friendship with Tessa grew out of our shared love of Harry Potter (Ravenclaw pride!), I’ve witnessed their relationship flourish into an epitome of mutual respect and adoration. I am so excited to celebrate their special day and wish Tessa and Alan a beautiful life filled with winery/ cheesery trips, board games night and infinite love!

Congrats to Hannah and Alan!! The first time I saw your cute calendar I knew Hannah was the woman for Alan. Had to do it. Best wishes to Tessa and Alan!

My name is Josh and I am Alan’s cousin. Unfortunately, since I live in Philadelphia, I am too far away to be able to spend as much time as I wish I could with the soon-to-be married couple. Nevertheless, I am extremely honored to be able to participate in their wedding as a member of the bridal party! (I am also not at all displeased that the wedding happens to be taking place is in sunny Southern California – Whooo!)
