Do I have to attend both wedding receptions in Laos and Vietnam?

Answer

You are not expected to attend both, but we would be ecstatic if you could! Laos and Vietnam are neighbors, so travel between the two will be quite affordable and quick via plane or train. Plus, you get to experience two different cultures!

When do I need to RSVP?

Answer

There is no need to RSVP, but we'd love to hear personally if you're coming.

Can I bring a date?

Answer

Of course! The receptions are open to all guests and their plus ones, twos, threes, etc! In Lao/Vietnamese culture, there is no such thing as exclusivity in celebrations. We have more than enough food & drinks!

Are kids welcome?

Yes of course!

Is there a dress code?

Answer

Formal attire or Lao/Vietnamese cultural clothing is expected of all guests for both ceremony and reception. There is no color or style theme to stick to, so wear your best fit!

Do I have to attend both the ceremony and reception?

Answer

No, the ceremony is not required to have every guest (outside of family) in attendance, but we would love to see you there and witness what it means to be wed in Laotian culture.

I want to go, but I'm afraid of the recent travel restrictions.

Answer

We 100% understand the fear. Fortunately if you are a U.S. Citizen or have updated legal residency in the U.S., this travel ban will not be an issue for you. As long as you have your paperwork in a row, a valid passport or ID, and have the right visas to enter Laos and/or Vietnam, you will be just fine crossing Immigration on the way back to the U.S.

If you let me or Gabe know personally as soon as possible, we will try or best to work with the venue to accommodate your allergies.

Is there transportation to and from the hotels to the ceremony?

Answer

There will be a shuttle we will provide for guests. Details are TBA. Check our Travel tab for any updates.

What food is being served at the reception(s)?

Answer

We will post the dinner menu for each reception once it gets closer to the date. All the food is Asian cuisine, including the late night snacks.

Is there an open bar?

Answer

At Saint Phila Convention Hall, there will be a small variety of beer, wine, and soft drinks that will be served all night for guests. Liquor will be provided as well, but there are no bartenders for mixed drinks. At PARKROYAL Saigon, we will have Heineken beer, house wine, and soft drinks available to guests. The hotel does have its own bar inside that you are welcome to purchase drinks seperately.
