We met the modern way—on Tinder—during our freshman year of college. Gabe was at the University of Tennessee, Knoxville, and Terisa was at the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga, about two hours apart. But fate had already started working before we even matched—Gabe had seen Terisa at a frat party almost a month earlier and never forgot her. After matching, we quickly connected over our love of food, travel, and the shared goals we had for our future. Despite the distance, we started dating in February 2020—just weeks before the world shut down. The COVID-19 pandemic threw a curveball at everyone, but it only made our bond stronger. During college, we both ended up joining multicultural Greek life as Charter members of the first chapters on our campus—Terisa in Delta Phi Lambda Sorority and Gabe in Lambda Phi Epsilon International Fraternity. We formed so incredible bonds with the many Brothers and Sisters we've met along the way, and our relationship continued to grow right alongside us. After years of long-distance, we got engaged in the summer of 2024 and finally moved in together in Nashville. We’ve been through so much together as we watched each other grow in our early 20s—celebrating wins, pushing through tough times, and always cheering each other on. Now, we're ready for our biggest adventure yet. We can't wait to spend forever together—laughing endlessly, exploring the world, and building a life full of love and joy with a future family.
