July 4th 2019 Me: "Hey what would you do if I asked your sister to marry me?" Francy: "I don't know. Maybe punch you." All joking aside, Francy is a great brother to Teresa and I am forever grateful for him being one of the people to pick me up at the Berlin finish line under heavy and cold rain. He's an awesome son and uncle as well, who is always ready to travel and be with the family.

We met at Mike’s and was invited to her birthday beach trip by a mutual friend. Best memory of the trip included a full night at the bar talking until it closed. We became close friends which led to bottomless mimosas and several DC home team games. Cowboys fan or not, I knew she would be by side on my wedding day. People think my first go-to babysitter was Brenda or Gabby. It was actually Megan. Houston loves her and we are forever grateful for the love and attention she has given him.

An original “O.G.”...they say high school are life’s glory days and Laura definitely made them glorious. So many memories of eating lunch together, planning our prom nights, first drink, and the drives back to Braemar after a house party. It’s hard to keep friendships that last forever and they say that your “best friends” change depending where you’re at in life. However, Laura has always been at all those turning points and I can’t wait for more.

I missed the Northern Lights when I went to Iceland a few years ago. Little did I know I’d get to see one for a lifetime soon after. Aurora is one of the most genuine persons I have ever met. She makes the effort to be present and I’m so happy we’ve bonded over the last few years. All those trips, especially the one to Berlin, just sealed the deal.

So after Gabby’s approval, I needed Anna Inez’s. After a couple years, I think I got it :). What I’ve learned about Inez is that she’s been part of Mario’s life since forever. So far, she’s somehow played a part in every big moment we’ve had as well. From Boston to Europe to quarantining for 3 months so we could spend Melissa’s first days together, I’m glad we are only beginning a new set of memories.

This was followed by multiple nights out, her not wanting to sleep in her own room due to piles and piles of clothes, hyena laughs, watching trashy shows, and kitchen dance parties. I’m so happy we are also going through motherhood together.
