Our venue and reception are both at The White Sparrow. The ceremony will take place outside, weather permitting. A cocktail hour will take place after the ceremony and prior to the reception.
Parking is available free on-site. If you are staying at The Hilton at Rockwall a shuttle will provide transportation to the event, they do require a request for pick-up. The venue also suggests scheduling a ride with Uber. Uber allows users to schedule a pickup anywhere from 30 minutes to 30 days in advance. They will send one reminder 24 hours in advance, and a second one 30 minutes before pickup.
The weather in March tends to be very mild. Of course we aren't climatologists, but we would expect temperatures in the range of 65-72 degrees. Temperatures may drop by sundown, but keep in mind the reception will be held indoors.
If your invitation indicates that you may have a plus one, please RSVP for both you and your guest should you chose to have one. The ceremony and reception will both be child friendly.
We won't let you starve. Our caterer, Food Glorious Food, has helped us plan multiple delicious stations so that there will be many options for everyone. Our wedding will be open bar with select beers and wine. (Or you can BYOB and leave it behind the bar- keep the bartender on his toes when you ask for your favorite beverage)!
We ask that you refrain from taking pictures during the Ceremony. There will be a professional photographer at the wedding. In today's world of smart phone cameras, everybody wants to snap a picture on their own device. However, we'd much rather you be present with us during the Ceremony. The professional photos will be available to anybody interested so there is no need for everybody to snap their own iPhone shot. Anybody caught taking smart phone pictures will have their device confiscated and fed to the nearby donkey...just kidding. Please take all the pictures you want at the reception and tag using our wedding hashtag #teamharvey2019!
The event is semi-formal, but anything you want to wear we are sure will be okay. The bride requests you refrain from wearing a wedding dress, but if that’s really all you have to wear, she prefers that to you going naked! We only ask that you keep it classy for the ceremony. Men: Slacks, button down shirt and a tie. Women: Semi formal dress or pant suit. *Note: These are just suggestions. We trust our guests to show up looking fabulous! Plus, it's an excuse to wear your favorite fancy cocktail attire!
