Our first date was at Six Pence Pub in Fort Mill, SC. We spent the entire date learning more about each other over drinks and chips. Jack and Coke for Buddy and Titos and Soda with two limes for Michelle. One hour turned to two, then several hours later they were closing the place around us. After we left, Buddy being the gentleman, asked me to give him a call to make sure I made it home safely. We spent, another two hours that night/morning talking on the phone. He of course asked for another date.

Buddy had asked Michelle's dad at Christmas 2018, and he said, "Just be good to her and the kids". Each time Buddy tried to ask her the moment just wasn't right. So in January 2019, they went to Orlando, Florida to see Caitlin perform in a school play. Afterwards they went to the Orlando Eye, where when it reach the top overlooking the lights of Orlando, Buddy got down on one knee and proposed.
