Things To Do

While our wedding technically in Garner, you'll be very close to Raleigh. Here are a few ideas and recommendations if you are looking for something to do!

Village District

2068 Clark Avenue, Raleigh, NC 27605

The Village District has plenty of restaurants and shops to explore. It would be a great place for dinner on Friday night, or for breakfast on Saturday morning. It is a great place to walk around and poke your head into a mix of boutiques and popular chains.

State Farmers Market

1201 Agriculture Street, Raleigh, NC 27603

The Farmers Market is one of the coolest places for a Saturday morning. There are plenty of produce and plant vendors, as well as little stands of local treats. Grab a cup of coffee and peruse the different stands. This would be a great place to find a local trinket to bring home while supporting local.

North Carolina Museum of Art

2110 Blue Ridge Road, Raleigh, NC 27607

If you're looking for an artsy option, the galleries at the North Carolina Museum of Art are a great option.

Historic Yates Mill County Park

4620 Lake Wheeler Road, Raleigh, NC 27603

If you're looking for an outdoors option, Yates Mill is a wonderful option. Take a walk around some of the historic buildings and walking trails to start your Saturday off right!

Lake Johnson Park

4601 Avent Ferry Road, Raleigh, NC 27606

This is another great outdoors option. The trails here are mostly paved and this is a great option for a Saturday stroll.

Full Bloom Coffee Roasters

141 West Main Street, Garner, NC 27529

This is a coffee shop right next to our wedding venue. It has delicious lattes and food and would be a great place to grab a bite on Saturday or Sunday morning to start your day.

Glenwood South

Raleigh, NC 27603

If you're looking for something to do on Friday night, Glenwood South is one of the popular areas for nightlife in Raleigh. It's high energy and more of a party vibe. There's a beer garden as well as various bars and restaurants. Keep in mind that it is technically Halloween weekend, so it may be busy!

The Flying Biscuit Cafe

2016 Clark Avenue, Raleigh, NC 27605

This is by far one of Taylor and Rommel's favorite places for breakfast. Their menu is large with lots of different options! There are waffles, pancakes, omelettes, and their biscuits with apple butter are delish.
