Getting into Mexico is very easy crossing the San Ysidro or Otay Mesa Ports of Entry from San Diego (we suggest San Ysidro). Passports are required to enter Mexico and crossing back into the US is much easier if you have Global Entry, link below to apply. Applications can take some time so make sure you get it in early! If you do not have Global Entry no worries just factor in a longer wait time for your return home if you are driving. Walking across the Otay Border is a time saving alternative if you do not have Global Entry. Driving here is great if you have Global Entry, if not the wait times to cross the border going home can be upwards of 3 hours. Car insurance is encouraged if you are driving, we use www.bajabound.com. Walking across the border can be faster, we recommend getting a driving service to and from the border (aprox 30 min drive), website options listed in travel section.
We will provide transportation for weekend events, however everything is also walking distance!
WELCOME PARTY: Casual Cocktail attire Kick off the wedding weekend with us in something comfortable and stylish! Think of what you'd wear to a nice dinner out. Sundresses, skirts, or nice jeans are welcome. Men, collared shirts, polos, nice pants or jeans. WEDDING: Formal Cocktail attire We'd love for everyone to dress up and celebrate with us! Ladies, we recommend floor-length or midi dresses, and kindly ask that you avoid shades of green. Gentlemen, please wear a suit or dress pants with a jacket - no jeans please. Our ceremony and reception will take place outdoors on grass and cobblestone, so we highly recommend comfortable shoes or block heels to help you enjoy the evening with ease.
The wedding and reception will be held outdoors. October typically brings comfortable weather, during the day you can expect mid to high 70's and at night it can drop to the 50's. Be sure to pack a pair of sunglasses for the day and a light sweater or jacket at night!
