Getting into Mexico is very easy crossing the San Ysidro or Otay Mesa Ports of Entry from San Diego (we suggest San Ysidro). Passports are required to enter Mexico and crossing back into the US is much easier if you have Global Entry, link below to apply. Applications can take some time so make sure you get it in early! If you do not have Global Entry no worries just factor in a longer wait time for your return home if you are driving. Driving here is great if you have Global Entry, if not the wait times to cross the border going home can be upwards of 3 hours. If you would like to walk across the border we can arrange for a shuttle service to pick you up and drive you to the destination (approx. 30 min). You should get Mexico insurance for your car if you drive, we use www.bajabound.com.
