FAQs

The Wedding Website of Taylor Aljian and Mason Resende
Question

When should I RSVP by?

Answer

We ask that all guests RSVP by May 1st.

Question

Is there a dress code?

Answer

For the sunrise ceremony, if you would like to join us, guests can wear whatever they want! Please come down comfortable- most people seem to be leaning towards wearing a lounge set or linen pants! Do not feel the need to dress formally- save the fancy clothes, hair, and makeup for later! For the reception we are asking guests to wear beach wedding "chic" attire. Think sundresses, jumpers, khaki pants. You will most likely be barefoot walking in the sand. If you look on Pinterest at "beach cocktail attire" you will fully get the vibes!

Question

Why are you torturing your guests and making them wake up for sunrise???

Answer

We know that this is very unconventional and a lot to ask of our guests........ But the sunrise is something that is very special to us both. There is truly nothing like an OBX sunrise- we are praying that we have one on our wedding day as stunning as the picture of Mason above! Taylor's family has been visiting OBX for years and a tradition is waking up and watching the sunrise together each morning with a cup of coffee in hand. This tradition is something special to not only Taylor, but also her father Mark who passed away a few years ago. Taylor has said that she truly feels his presence the most when sitting on the beach at sunrise and watching the waves in OBX- so what better way to incorporate Mark into our special day then to have his presence and witness us exchanging vows at sunrise. This tradition has grown into now Mason watching the sunrise every morning when he comes down too......he even asked Taylor to be his wife at sunrise! While we know this is a lot to ask of our guests, there is truly no pressure. If you are unable to make it down for sunrise we will not judge. For those who can make it, we ask you to come in comfortable clothes, grab a cup of coffee, sit on the beach to watch the sunrise while we exchange our personal vows and then join us for a breakfast and champagne toast after!

Question

Will we see wild horses?

Answer

Hopefully!!! They will most likely be out and about since the weather will be not too hot and not too cold. It is a state law that you must remain 50 feet away from the horses. Please also keep in mind when driving, especially at night, to be aware of the horses. Lastly, if you see a horse do NOT feed them- that is also illegal.
