If you are the type that is like "we can't go to Colorado and not ski" this is the nearest ski resort to Estes Park. Keep in mind that our wedding is at the beginning of the ski season and it is possible that only some (or none) of the slopes will be open. Disclaimer Taylor doesn't ski and Jackson has a ski pass that doesn't include this resort so do your own research.
We would recommend making time to stop in Boulder either on your way in or out of Colorado. The flatirons that make up a portion of Boulder's foothills can be seen in the background of our engagement photos and are gorgeous (and accessible for hiking) all year round. Boulder has our favorite breakfast spot called "The Buff" which is one of the first places Taylor went to in Colorado while we were still long distance. Some of our favorite coffee shops are in Boulder including The Laughing Goat (which is also a Tess Volkers favorite) and Boxcar Coffee Roasters. Pearl Street is a pedestrian only outdoor mall with lots of local shops and restaurants great for window shopping and realizing just how many outdoor gear shops exist. The CU Buffs have a home game the weekend of Nov 14th so the city will be full of excitement.
