Wedding Party

Taylor Karns

Bride

You should know her already. CEO of this wedding. Professional vibe curator. Did 50% of the planning, 100% of the panicking, and will absolutely still be updating this website at 11:59 pm the night before the ceremony. She can now identify whatever game Daniel is playing just from the graphics alone, purely from years of exposure and zero voluntary participation.

Daniel Foley

Groom

Daniel brings the same energy to wedding planning that he brings to gaming: dialed in, opinionated when it counts, and somehow almost always right about aesthetics. He helped shape a lot of this wedding, kept the chaos level survivable, and still found time to log his daily gaming hours. He’s also the reason Taylor has developed the completely unnecessary ability to recognize his games on sight. He calls this “bonding.”

Leigh Adams

Maid of Honor

Leigh and Taylor have been locked in friendship since elementary school, survived the emotional trauma of middle school, and peaked early when Leigh literally orchestrated Taylor’s high-school love life by getting her soon to be husband to finally ask her out. They drifted for a bit, then the universe threw them back together at Apple Retail like, “Try again, idiots.” Leigh has basically been a recurring character in Taylor’s life for decades, so obviously she’s the Maid of Honor.

Andrew Shin

Best Man

Taylor technically met Andrew first back in middle school piano class (yes, really), but he and Daniel ended up becoming the long-term duo. They survived school, jobs, life, and enough late-night gaming sessions to qualify as a common-law friendship. Andrew’s been one of Daniel’s closest people for years, and someone Taylor’s known for even longer — so having him as Best Man just made sense.

Katie Wigney

Bridesmaid

Katie and Taylor met while interviewing for the same job, which Katie snagged, and somehow they still became friends instead of sworn enemies. They ended up working together anyway and trauma-bonded over surviving Apple Retail and reading the same unhinged, morally-questionable books that absolutely should be discussed in therapy. Even after Taylor left the store, Katie stuck around like the feral little soulmate she is. Obviously she’s in the bridal party.

Michael Baker

Groomsman

Michael is Daniel’s other boyfriend and long-time bestie. He’s part of the nightly gaming trio with Daniel and Ariel, and honestly, their group chat has probably seen more action than most social networks. Michael was also the very first person to know when Taylor and Daniel started dating again, which makes him basically the keeper of lore. Having him as a groomsman was a no-brainer.

Ariel Saavedra

Officiant

Ariel and Daniel started out as coworkers who could barely tolerate each other, then somehow evolved into “talk every night online like a married couple” levels of friendship. At this point the running joke is that Ariel might actually be Daniel’s second boyfriend. Naturally, he’s the one trusted to officiate this wedding and keep the chaos to a minimum… or at least pretend to.

Andrew Stasi

Groomsman

Andrew Stasi has been part of Taylor and Daniel’s lives since a sophomore-year whale watching trip that turned into a long-standing friendship. He’s been a constant ever since, known for accurately predicting that every bus beep would forever bring that trip to mind. Andrew is another one of the men Taylor shares Daniel with—and the person responsible for introducing them to Stan’s Donuts—so having him as a groomsman was inevitable.
