Grand Caribe Belize

While you certainly can stay wherever you'd like on the island, we've chosen Grand Caribe as our primary lodging option. Many of the wedding events will be taking place at or near Grand Caribe. Grand Caribe is about 2 miles north of San Pedro. You will be picked up at San Pedro Airport and will be greeted at the front door with a rum punch in 15 minutes. There are several different types of condo-style rooms available, however there are a limited number of one bedroom options. If you know others coming we recommend checking out the 2-4 bedroom places. When booking, please mention the Cappa-Miller wedding. You will receive a discounted rate if you stay 3+ nights. Flight

Getting from the US to mainland Belize (BZE)

Several American carriers fly to Belize (BZE), including American, Delta, and United, with the roundtrip flight usually running between $400-$800/person. When flying into BZE (and when you are taking the small flight to the island) you will exit the plane and proceed through customs. After customs, pickup your bags, proceed through declarations, and head into the terminal to check your bags for the small and quick flight. Getting from the Mainland to San Pedro (SPR)

BZE is located on the mainland of Belize, and SPR is located on the island of Ambergris Caye (pronounced "Key"). There are two options to get to the island: a 15min flight or a ferry. We hiiiiiighly recommend the flight, not only for the gorgeous views as you fly 1500 ft above the crystal blue water, but also because it is more than an hour faster than the ferry. The flight usually runs $150/person round trip. The hotel uses Maya Island Air. If you have concerns about flying in a small plane, please reach out and we would be happy to discuss it with you further. ***This flight will be booked directly by the hotel if you are staying at Grand Caribe. Please ask reservations to book the flight for you so that someone will come pick you up from the airport.***

Grand Caribe Belize (Golf carts!)

The majority of people on the island ride in golf carts. Yes, actual golf carts! Grand Caribe is located 2 miles north of the town of San Pedro, so it is recommended to rent a golf cart if you'd like to go into town. If you're feeling adventurous, you can try to hitch hike into town. The locals are incredibly nice, and many of them who work north of town do just this! If you don't want to rent a golf cart, don't worry! There is still plenty to do at the resort and within walking distance, or we can always bring you into town ourselves. You do not need a golf cart for wedding events as everything will be right at Grand Caribe. Rentals can be made directly through Grand Caribe. Please email: reservations@grandcaribebelize.com.
