Do I need a visa to travel to the UK?

Answer

While you do not need a traditional visa, the government of the UK requires an electronic travel authorization (ETA) for all US residents traveling to the UK. The process of obtaining the ETA is very simple, and it is very easy to apply (there is even an app!). The app is available on the app store and it is called "UK ETA" (the logo is a crown). What is the dress code for the wedding?

Answer

We'd love to see our family and friends get dressed up for the big day! The dress code for the wedding itself is formal attire. Ladies can wear floor-length, tea-length, or midi formal dresses. Gentlemen can wear a suit and tie.

Can I bring a plus one?

Answer

Due to limited capacity at the castle, we are only able to accommodate the people that have been formally invited to the wedding.

Can I take photos and videos?

Answer

We would love to have as many photos and videos as possible, especially from your point of view! However, during the wedding ceremony, we kindly ask that no photos or videos are taken. We would love our guests to be fully present in the moment with us. We have hired a team of very talented photographers and videographers who will ensure that all parts of the ceremony are captured. Thank you for understanding!

Answer

We are so excited to celebrate our special day with all of our favorite people, and this includes your little ones! Children are more than welcome to join in the festivities alongside their parents. We can’t wait to share the joy with guests of all ages!

Yes, there is parking available on the estate grounds for those of you who would like to rent a car during your stay!

What kind of clothing should I pack for my stay?

Answer

Scottish weather is known for being beautifully unpredictable. You might experience sunshine, wind, and a light drizzle all in one afternoon! Outside of your wedding attire, we recommend packing layers so you can adjust throughout the day. A light waterproof jacket, comfortable shoes for exploring, short sleeves, and a cozy sweater or two are great to have on hand!
