We're Getting Married!

The details of how Rob & I met, have much to do with why we dedicate our relationship to the belief that "everything happens for a reason." We first met on Match.com when Rob messaged me, "besides liking the Bills & craft beer, how else are you awesome?" We chatted for a few weeks & set up a day to meet. Unfortunately, I had to postpone our first date a few days due to work obligations, a request that Rob so kindly understood. Two days later, we were set to meet up at the Beer Market around 7pm. That day, my mom - whom still contributes the success of our initial date & ultimately our relationship to none other than herself (love you mom) - texted me around 5:30pm asking if I'd meet her for a drink, ironically, ALSO at the Beer Market. When Rob texted me around 6:30pm to let me know he would be running a bit late, I stupidly admitted that it was "fine" & to "take his time" because my mother was keeping me company! (Apparently, Rob thought my intention was to bring my mom on our first date & for some reason, he still showed up!) Since Rob was running late, I left with my mom to grab a quick bite across the street; at which point, I told my mom that I was thinking about postponing again due to my exhaustion from the work week. When Rob arrived, he was less than thrilled that I was nowhere to be found but thankfully, his favorite beer was on tap! He stayed for a pint, giving my mom enough time to shake me awake & send me inside. Despite the obstacles, Rob & I left that night knowing we'd found our other half. Since that date - we've built a wonderful friendship that has flourished into a beautiful relationship & became parents to the most amazing & charismatic little boy, Lukas Juliynn.
