Maid of Honor
The oil to my vinegar. We couldn't be more opposite but it has somehow worked since 8th grade. She's uncensored, lighthearted and as loyal as they come. I'm going to bet that her Southern "Y'all" is going to be ever present as the wedding festivities unfold. In all seriousness, I am beyond humbled to have her stand beside me as my maid of honor.
Best Man
What Can I say, Brandon and I instantly became friends when we started working together at Merrill Tower. He was the first real friend I met in Anchorage, and really made living so far from everyone I knew feel ok. We have been through many good times together at work and out on the town. He taught me a lot about our profession when I knew very little, and he taught me even more about what it means to be a good man. Most importantly he taught me about what it takes to be a good husband and father. I couldn't ask for a better Best Man.
Bridesmaid
Sure, you probably can't pronounce her last name since she tied the knot in 2017 but this beaut is my little sister who's always given me sound advice. She's lively and mature. Oh! And she has a sixth sense of picking up on people with ulterior motives. Maybe it's predicated by her love of crime shows (think Law & Order, documentaries on serial killers and anything on the ID channel)? Though I think she planned her pregnancy this summer to avoid hiking another 14er with me, she's going to be one stunning preggo lady standing beside me on my special day.
Groomsman
Mike has always said I'm like the little brother he never had. We have been great friends since meeting at Anchorage Tracon back in 2014. He is also one of the best Air Traffic Controllers I have had the pleasure of working with. We have had some crazy adventures together in Anchorage and Denver. I am looking forward to many more with him and his wonderful wife Cassie. I am honored to have him with me on one of the most important days of my life.
Bridesmaid
How lucky am I to have this stunning Mrs. as my baby sister?! What I love most about her is that she has always loudly and proudly stood up for the marginalized. Bless those people who get in the way of her and her ability to take action to help others. Her constant encouragement and generous heart are second to none. She's certainly going to make an incredible mother come this December! Grateful to have this human stand by my side.
Groomsman
Pete Granda and I worked and lived next door to each other in Alaska. We spent many a night toasting to one another's happiness. We both enjoyed exploring the outdoors of Alaska together. We had amazing fourwheeling, fishing, and camping trips that I would care not to go into detail here about. He is an all around classy dude as well as a fellow veteran. He is a loving father and an amazing husband. I couldn't ask for a better guy to be with me on such an important day.
