Rail Explorers: Catskills Division

Discover all the nature that Catskills has to offer while pedaling a cart down a retired trainline with your friends and family. Includes scenic views of the mountains, forests, and waterways! We recommend booking sooner than later as these book up quickly. There is a 90 min route and a 2.5 hr route. We opted for the 90 mins and felt tired by the end so plan accordingly.

East Branch Farms / Kimchi Harvest

Support local Roxbury farms at a visit to East Branch, where the owner farms and bottles her own unique kimchi. They occasionally host events, but if you come through when they aren't there, they charge for their wares on the good ol' fashioned honor system. Venmo accepted.

Peekamoose Restaurant

For a more tailored dining experience, Peekamoose offers locally sourced ingredients in a restored farmhouse. We have visited here every time we have come to the Catskills. We would recommend reserving ahead of time as it gets really busy in the evenings.

Phoenicia Diner

Scenic side-of-the-road diner that serves locally sourced ingredients (Trout is pretty popular up here). They also have an outdoor dining area. This spot is about 30 min from the venue and is a great stop along the way to Roxbury or breakfast on the morning return home!
