FAQs

The Wedding Website of Tina Brunner and Zach Schmidlein
If you have a question not addressed here, please reach out to either T or Z, or send us an email at: tandzhandfasting@gmail.com
Question

What time should I arrive at the ceremony?

Answer

Our ceremony is at four. Arrive a little early to hear the chapel bell! Refreshments and restrooms will be at the reception.

Question

Is there parking for the ceremony or reception?

Answer

Yes, there will be field parking on Applegate by the entrance to the housing community. From there a complementary shuttle will take you to the chapel and clubhouse to attend the ceremony and reception. The clubhouse is a short stroll from the chapel along a paved road and is ramp accessible. The chapel itself has four steps at the entrance. Please reach out to either T or Z if you have mobility concerns.

Question

Is there a dress code?

Answer

This is a folk-inspired, shire-esque, rustic, woodland wedding. Please dress comfortably in semi-formal attire. Medieval trappings would not be out of place, nor would cloaks, capes, lederhosen, traditional folk costumes, flower crowns, or kimono. Wear whatever is right for you and feels special for the day!

Question

Can I bring a date?

Answer

Sorry, but we cannot accommodate plus ones. Attendance is limited only to invited guests.

Question

Are kids welcome?

Answer

Due to the nature of the venue and limited space, this is a no child wedding. Thank you for your understanding.

Question

I have a food allergy, can I make a special request?

Answer

Absolutely. Please denote any food restrictions you have along with your RSVP. There will already be gluten free, dairy free, vegan, and vegetarian options included in the catering. (We all know T can only eat wood chips, haha!)

Question

Do you have any hotel recommendations?

Answer

WE HAVE A WEDDING BLOCK NOW!! Follow this link: https://group.hiltongardeninn.com/vnlngi

Question

Is there transportation to and from the hotels to the ceremony?

Answer

There will be shuttle services from Port Jefferson Station to the venue, and from the on site parking to the chapel and clubhouse. If you plan on traveling from a hotel to the venue, you will need to arrange your own transportation.

Question

Are there any other events that I should know about around the wedding?

Answer

Nope! We are not doing a wedding weekend, just a wedding day. You are welcome to travel in for the day and return home, or to stay overnight and travel on Monday if so desired. We are in the process of looking into hotels and will let you know when a hotel block is reserved.
