Check out our favorite hidden gem, The Rustic Spoon. We go at least once a month if not more! It is Thai/Vietnamese Fusion with great meat and vegetarian options! Fryman Canyon Overlook and Trail
Come out for a gorgeous view of L.A. and see where Josh proposed! You can also get a little workout in by hiking the trail!
Yard House
Our favorite chain restaurant is a staple in our diet! With locations in Pasadena, Burbank, & Northridge, wherever you are staying, you can get to one! Lots of options and good for dates or families (great kids menu and table games!) Josh's favorite: Braised Short Rib Ravioli and a Cold Hefeweizen Talia's favorite: Vodka Shrimp Pasta (sub out the angel hair for campanelle) and a Pomegranate Margarita
The Oaks Tavern- Karaoke
Josh took Talia here on their first date and is still a favorite spot! Check it out for well-priced drinks, TV's for sports, pool, shuffleboard, and Karaoke every night!
Humphrey Yogart
A local favorite nestled into the Gelson's, Humphrey's is a unique take on frozen yogurt. Blend in your favorite toppings or put them on top! Also create delicious milkshakes or grab a scoop of ice cream. Josh's Favorite: Cookies N' Cream Milkshake Talia's Favorite: Chocolate Yogurt with Reese's, Peanut Butter, & Banana mixed in (a combination my brother created for me when he worked there!)
Nights of the Jack
We love a good light show! Plus, we would be remiss if we didn't include a Halloween theme suggestion! For a unique date night or family outing, check out Nights of the Jack at King Gillette Ranch! Come for the impressive walk through jack-o-lantern exhibit! They have also have food trucks, photo ops, games, and a "Spookeasy". Tickets will go on sale closer to the date. Pro Tip: look for deals on Goldstar to save a little money.
McConnell's Fine Ice Creams
Founded in Santa Barbara, this delicious handmade ice cream can only be found in the Southern, CA area so be sure to check it out! On our trip to Santa Barbara, we had it at least 3 times because it is just that good! Josh's favorites: Classic Cookies N' Cream, & Churro Talia's favorites: Sea Salt Cookies N' Cream, Double Peanut Butter Chip, Sweet Cream Brownie, & Chocolate Chocolate Chocolate Pro Tip: Order the trio sampler to get 3 good portions of your favorite flavors because we promise you won't be able to choose just one!
Universal Studios Hollywood
A classic destination for a trip to Los Angeles! You can go into the amusement park or just walk around Universal City Walk to see the shops, movies, restaurants or bowling!
