Scroll below to learn more about how we came together and reached our wedding day...
Talia had no intention of going to The Matzoball until the last minute when she reached out to an old friend, Justine, from preschool who she saw going. Justine invited Talia to her friend's house before the big event. The moment she saw Josh she knew he was special. Josh thought the same thing. Truth be told, Talia had no idea Josh was interested in her until he didn't leave her side the whole night. They went to Canter's Deli with some friends after. The night ended with Talia giving Josh a kiss in the middle of the street.
The next day Josh waited by the phone for the right time to text Talia because she had given him very specific rules which he wanted to follow. He invited himself to join Talia on her solo date to see 'Pitch Perfect 3' on Christmas Day. She brought him Christmas cookies which melted on the walk to the theater. That night we planned our first real date for the upcoming Saturday. Josh took her to Cafe Bizou and then we did karaoke. Josh sang "Somebody's Baby" by Jackson Browne (Talia's mom's favorite artist) and Talia sang "Sugar We're Going Down" by Fall Out Boy.
Josh had become a huge Bachelor fan because the week before he had come over to keep Talia company while she was sick. We watched the Bachelor together! On 1.11.18 Josh brought over 4 different roses (first impression rose, first date rose, etc) to ask Talia to be his girlfriend. We had no idea when he asked, but later realized the importance of the angel number 111. This is the sign of a good love connection and accepting positive energies. We knew it was special and now every time we see "111" we think of each other or send an "I love you" text.
Josh knew it was time to propose when he asked for a sign and that day we saw a license place that read "8JOE111" (Joe is our dog and 111 is our anniversary). He took the 8 to mean August. Josh planned a special date for 8.18.19 (18 for "chai"). Josh thought he was being smooth, but when Josh's mom, Shelley, invited Talia to get her nails done that morning she knew. However, it was still special. Josh took Talia to a very special overlook that they could see where they grew up, met, and began building a life together. He wanted to be up high and close to Heaven to be near our late family members to ask Talia to be his wife. She said YES immediately and grabbed the ring, only to pause and say "wait...I think you need to put this on me." Luckily there were a few passersby to snap a couple photos. Josh took Talia to Il Cielo after the proposal to celebrate. Josh had no idea, but long before Talia's late uncle had recommended this place for them to go at some point and since then she had been hoping to go. It was more special that Josh picked there. However...they did misspell Talia's name on the dessert! It was memorable.
We keep the 111 as we begin the next stage together. Because we bring so much joy to each other's lives, our wedding theme will be "You Light Up My Life". See you as we walk down the aisle!
