From awkward interactions as newbees at kickball to unplanned matching outfits, Kenzie quickly went from acquaintance to friend and from friend to family. Kenzie is the friend that casually watches movies with the gang (Jess, Trevor & Cuse) on a Friday and is leaving Ice’s outside the doorstep come Saturday. Believe it or not, she might be the only reason the two got engaged back in August 2020 - determining the precise spot for the perfect proposal photos and hiding behind trees to capture the moment. Kenzie is one of those friends that you immediately feel like you known for years and nothing changes with distance or time. This bomber jacket loving, f.r.i.e.n.d.s. obsessed, architect is the perfect maid of honor to stand by Jess and Trevor on their big day.

Best Man
Despite being second cousins, the two had only met a few times when they were younger. Trevor and Kevin’s friendship really started with a handshake at 2 am at an extended stay in Charlotte, NC back in 2014. A few hours later, they started their professional careers that was most notable for online mini golf during training sessions, grinding through late nights in the call center, and plenty of NHL matches. Although Kevin might seem quiet at first, once the competitive juices start flowing, he lives up to the ‘kid from Boston’ stereotype - trying to win at all costs. Over the years, Kevin became an uncle to Cuse, a roommate & friend to Jess, & one of the best support systems and friends Trevor could ask for. His close relationship with both Trevor and Jess makes him the perfect best man.

Your first impression might be that Jackie is a bit quiet or reserved, but hold tight because she has some of the best one-liners of anyone around. Jackie’s friendship with Jess is one that doesn’t need to be loud and over the top, but one that remains strong and consistent regardless of distance and time. Jackie is such a good friend that she convinced her parents to bring Wegman’s subs from Richmond, VA to Charlotte, NC just to meet ‘her new friends’ insatiable desire for a Danny’s Favorite. She has a heart of gold and has grown to be such an important person to both Jess and Trevor. If you are looking for some warm champagne, late night snacks (stashed in her purse), or a heart-to heart, make sure you find Jackie on the dance floor!
Steve Danylyshyn

Steve, best known as Dano, is the person that will drop everything to go see the Bills when they make the playoffs. Trevor and Dano’s friendship started back at Ithaca where they shared the lacrosse field for a brief time. After losing touch for a few years, one day Dano called asking about Charlotte, NC. Trevor admits he may have embellished a bit on that call out of excitement for the potential of an old friend joining him in the South. Dano and Trevor quickly joined forces in coaching lacrosse, learning that together they make a great team - unless of course they stay out too late before an early morning game. Through coaching and their time in Charlotte, Trevor learned even more how kind, honest, and loyal Dano is.

Eliza is an all-around amazing human – and also one of the smartest, most level headed and determined people on the planet. With her PHD in behavioral neuroscience she continues to change the world working within the NIH. On top of being brilliant, Eliza embodies everything you want in a friend. Eliza seems to know what you need before you even realize you need it. She will always be there with a hug, the encouragement you need, or some of her out-of-this-world mac and cheese. In college, people – Trevor included - would notoriously stop at Jess/Eliza's place on the way back from the bars to have a bowl of Eliza’s famous mac and cheese. But don’t be fooled by her motherly exterior, she knows how to have a good time, no diggity.
Rory Foster

Rory and Trevor met early on at Ithaca College, but it wasn’t until living together senior year that they became great friends. Lucky for Trevor, nearly every weekend, Rory became Trevor’s human alarm clock followed by a morning of watching Netflix in a spacious twin bed. Rory is the energy that we all need in our lives. He embodies the personality that allows him to thrive as a teacher, soccer coach, and friend. Although he often gets coined as the ‘wild card’, Rory truly is a reliable friend who genuinely cares about the two of us. While energy will be at an all-time high on the dance floor, keep an eye out for his wallet which tends to disappear more often than not.
Samantha Martin

Jess and Sam’s friendship started in biology lab first semester freshman year. Let’s be serious, a friendship built on dissection and formaldehyde must be the real deal. By junior year, the two were inseparable. After many of their friends graduated, Jess and Sam lived together for their 5th year – and it was a year filled with lots of dancing, makeup tutorials and an abundance of bathroom selfies. The greatest point of contention in their roommate-ship was what to do about the vole that often made unannounced guest appearances throughout the year. Jess will never be able to eat a pretzel dipped in Nutella without reminiscing on those times in 585 with one of her best friends. Sam’s charismatic personality lights up any room she walks into and we know her dance moves won’t disappoint.
Casey Schattner

Through family and lacrosse connections, Trevor knew the Schattner’s well growing up – but he was closest with Casey’s younger brother Matty growing up. Freshman year, Casey was part of the forced triple crew where the two battled through differing sleep temperature preferences, smelly lacrosse gear, and managing extremely small living quarters. Casey has always been the responsible, smart, and mature one of the group. Casey pushed Trevor to be a better student, friend and person. But don’t be fooled, give Casey a few drinks or the right atmosphere and watch ‘swagshark’ emerge; where Casey’s childish havoc keeps everyone on their toes. Even though Casey still hasn't officially agreed to be a groomsmen, both Jess and Trevor are grateful for his friendship.
Laura Lundblad

When it came to meeting Trevor’s family, Jess was most nervous to meet Laura. Being a little sister herself, Jess knew how important a little sister’s approval is and how protective a little sister can be. Well, Laura couldn’t have been more welcoming and friendly. Despite Jess’s lack of athleticism for ice sports, Laura has continued to get to know Jess and welcome her to the family. Jess is looking forward to having someone to forever gang up on Trevor with. We love Laura’s persistence, dedication, and work ethic – and know she will always have the best ‘little sister’ insight.
Adam King

Trevor and Adam have one of those iconic love-hate relationships. As the 3rd member of the ‘forced triple crew’, Trevor and Adam quickly learned a lot about each other - including how to push each other’s buttons. One minute the two would be relaxing with friends and the next they would be wrestling over something insignificant. Trevor and Adam spent a semester abroad in Sydney, Australia, where they continued to share memories, adventures, and of-course feuds. After returning from Australia and deciding they were still the lacrosse coach’s ‘least favorite players’, the two decided to hang up their cleats and continue the adventures for their time at IC. Don't let Adam's 250 words per minute catch you off guard, he's a caring, committed and loyal friend to both Trevor and Jess.
Dan Szklut

Dan has always been the protective older brother to Jess, making it slightly intimidating for Trevor coming into the picture. However, understanding the ‘older brother’ role, and relating with similar family dynamics, Trevor was able to get to know Dan more and more with time. Despite opposing sports teams, Dan still seemed to find it easier to deal with Trevor then his own sister. Since moving to Boston, Trevor and Dan have been able to grow even closer and now gang up on Jess. Dan’s persistence, devotion, and charisma is admirable. Although they may never agree on sports teams, Dan has quickly become a brother to Trevor, and his support and guidance is so valued. Dan's shameless dancing is a testament to the fun-loving person he is!
