What are the COVID-19 regulations for travel to and from the U.S.?

Current COVID 19 Restrictons For Travel: No test is required for U.S. travelers to come to Ireland (vaccinated or unvaccinated). PCR and/or antigen tests are required to enter the U.S. from Ireland regardless of vaccination status. These tests must be taken 1 day from your takeoff to the U.S. We found that citytest.ie was SO easy and right in the heart of Dublin. The website had several times and dates open to book ahead of time if you choose. We booked ours the same day we needed the test done without a problem. The company is efficient and the testing process only took about 15 mins to complete. Make sure to fill out the online information prior to coming in to your appointment. We took the antigen test and got the results within the hour on our cell phones. The test costs around $35 U.S. dollars. This of course change tomorrow but hopefully this helps!

To get around places without renting a car- what are my options?

Answer

Ireland has UBER and Lyft for those in the U.S. with the app. We found that wait times are longer than what we are used to but they are available. Every front desk in Ireland can also call you a cab service. We found that cabs were often quicker to arrive.
