Kiersten Tippet

Maid of Honor

From being wombmates, roommates, and best friends, Kiersten has been with me through all the ups and downs and crazy turns life has thrown my way. We may be living in different cities now, but that hasn't kept us from calling each other on a daily basis. She also played a big role in encouraging me to begin dating Danny.

Paul Wagner

Best Man

aka Teed. Growing up as an only child, Paul is the brother I never had. Although he grew up in Memphis and we didn't meet until college, you'd think we've known each other our entire lives by how similar we can be at times. We've gotten better since we met our significant others, but we used to do anything to save a few bucks... whether it was walking home from downtown at 2am or both riding in the trunk of a BMW so we wouldn't have to call an uber. Paul and I lived together for 5 years and shared a room for 2 years. Besides his snoring, we had some pretty great years. Ask him about our pet Runkle and about the time he dressed up as Barbie at a mixer. Despite him moving to Dallas 5 years ago, Paul has continued to be a great friend and has played an integral part in my journey to faith.

Hope Wagner

Bridesmaid

Game nights, ski trips, and Texas Football have filled our friendship. Even though we didn't get to know each other until after college, Hope's kindness, support, faith and love for pizza and a good glass of red wine are just a few reasons why we will always be friends. We got to hangout more when Danny and I lived in Dallas our last year of pharmacy school and I am so glad to be able to get to hangout more when you and Paul make yalls way to Austin.

Connor Johnson

Groomsman

Aka Con-Juan. Between living together for 7 years and having our birthdays one day apart, we have basically been through it all. Connor started adulting in his late teens, maybe not in maturity but he started enjoying craft beers when we were drinking Lone Star, juicing with vegetables I've never even heard of ( at 6 am), sipping tequila when we were still ripping Irish car bombs, and trying to convince us that his homemade matcha green tea was better than anything Starbucks could create. And don't even get me started on his intermittent fasting. But great all American guy... "Marushkahargatay"

Robyn Bergesen

Bridesmaid

When Danny met Marcus over their obsession with working out, that's when I met Robyn through our obsession with wine... and also working out. We quickly realized that we were the same person and we have been friends since. From date nights, happy hours and game days, to random activities (like paying money to try to make art while drinking wine), you're my go-to girl. It's no coincidence our weddings were originally scheduled on the same day.

David Berger

Groomsman

David Matthew Berger is the common chant you will hear after 2 White Claws have been consumed. He is best known for knowing every word of Closer by Chainsmokers and will be that drunk girl on the dance floor on the wedding night. Even though David moved to LA over 4 years ago, he's continues to be a great friend by making a trip to Texas at least once a year either because he misses us, or because of his extreme FOMO.

Samantha Skagerberg

Bridesmaid

Better known as my "little," Samantha made my sorority days back in college some of the most fun times of my life. You may have seen us on stage at most of the fraternity parties we attended, dressed up for every party we could, and most likely convincing the bartenders to get us a free round. We may not have been 100% sorority girls, but we sure did know how to stay out all night. Apart from our crazy college days, this girl would do anything for me and that still holds true today. Her fun personality, support, and kindness are just a few reasons why we will be friends forever.

Kyle Jenkins

Groomsman

Aka Keith. Sydney deems Kyle the "responsible" one out of the group. I wouldn't call her naíve but give this guy a few bud-heavies and play some Toby Keith and find out what 'Merica is all about. A lot of people know Kyle for being an avid fisher, corgi owner and great husband, but make sure you ask him about his days of being a professional swan catcher. Me and Kyle's golf record against each other is basically 32 to 33 so I'll be looking to set the record straight one last time Saturday before the ceremony.

Sarah Sattler

Bridesmaid

From kindergarten where we spent our days playing house and putting her cats in strollers, to traveling the world and making unforgettable/hilarious memories together, this girl has been with me through it all. Half of my home videos have Sarah in them and we have definitely made some embarrassing appearances in hers. Her love for the outdoors and everything nature brought her to Seattle but we still catch up and see each other as much as we can. Everybody needs a little Sarah in their life and I am just lucky to have gotten to share 20+ years with her as my best friend!

Jake Luttmer

Groomsman

Aka Jacobin. If your plus one couldn't make it and you are in need of someone to hang out with... as you can see from the picture above, Jake is notorious for making friends with EVERYONE. Despite Jake's sometimes questionable choice of friends during spring break in Port Aransas, he enjoys long skateboard rides during the night, watching Gillmore Girls, One Tree Hill, and Teen Wolf, and being on the girls' team for life when we play fishbowl. Jake is always in a positive mood and down to party. Definitely ask him to do the worm during the wedding... he's really bad at saying "no" to people.

Shannon DuLaney

Bridesmaid

Volleyball brought us together but her incredible energy, spunk and kindness is what has made our friendship last. Even though she is busy living in Dallas, while running her flower company (as a side hustle), she always makes sure to come visit the cool kids in Austin a few times a year. Always up for any challenge (even if it includes eating a whole scoop of wasabi) and just being an all-around joy to be around, she will forever be one of my closest friends. Side note- her competitiveness is astounding, so don't even think about challenging this girl to anything you don't want to lose.

Marcus Motill

Groomsman

Unlike all the other guys on this page, Marcus is the only guy who might be slightly faster, stronger, and more competitive than me. Considering the guy won the Austin Fittest athlete competition, that basically makes me the second most fit guy in Austin. We initially met at the gym, but our mutual love for beer, sports, food, and beer-friz has given us reasons to see each other outside of our 6am workouts. It also helps that our significant others are 'besties.' This way we can watch sporting events while the girls can catch up.

Summer Preston

Bridesmaid

Like all great friendships, this one started playing volleyball. We met in our third year of college in the Advanced Volleyball class. Luckily our friendship continued and we dominated in a few intramural volleyball leagues, enjoyed another semester of the Advanced Volleyball class (thanks dad for supporting my love for vball even when in college lol), and travelled all over the world together! This girl is the sweetest, most supportive, fun and down for a good time best friend of mine! Did I mention she makes killer cocktails? She's a married woman living in Houston now, adulting it up and getting paid being a bad ass physical therapist!

Sam Swinton

Groomsman

aka Samuel. We've shared a lot of firsts- from buying our first house to running our first marathon together, this wedding will definitely be the first time he out drinks me. Sam is 100% the most confident person in the group, but that comes in handy when he is your cornhole partner. Sam and I are undefeated (200-0) in cornhole so we'll be excepting friendly wagers on Friday night during the welcome cocktail hour.

Sydney Jenkins

Bridesmaid

Despite attending the same college, I didn't officially meet Syd until Danny introduced us at the lake when we first started dating. Many wine nights, lake days, traveling, and fun times have past since we met and even though we may need to take a caffeine pill or two to stay awake past 9pm, I wouldn't have it any other way. I love you Syd!

Reid Ruggles

Groomsman

aka Red. Reid is the shortest of our entire friend group which helps explain why he is probably the biggest lightweight. Regardless of Reid's two shortcomings (pun intended), he has continued to be a great friend after college and we've been able to have a few memorable weekends at Bernie's. Although most of us are adults and in the working world, I am still not convinced Reid has a legitimate job. Ask him how many vacation days he gets a year or where he is going to be next weekend!

Claire Layfield

Junior Bridesmaid

As Danny's younger and questionably smarter younger step-sister, Claire has been a joy to get to know these past few years. One of the many reasons I love Danny is because of his strong relationship with his family. Claire has been a part of our relationship from the first time we met and I could not imagine her not by my side on my wedding day!

Scott Jermain

Groomsman

Scott and I together make the nerdiest duo at the wedding. Between us, we have 18 years of college schooling under our belt. Though we only briefly overlapped during our academic endeavors, there is never a dull moment when we are together... especially at conferences. You'll have to ask Scott about some of our AAPS stories. Scott recently left me to move up to the bay area to work for Giliead, so to make up for lost time together we planned our bachelor parties back to back in Las Vegas and San Diego this year, so wish us luck.
