This is where Caitlin grew up. Start at actual Pleasure Point surf spot and then cruise down East Cliff. Check out the dirt farm at 38th avenue which is where she learned to surf and would frequently go out boogie boarding and surfing with her family. Continue down to The Hook where you can watch some of the surfers in action.
Frequent flyers when we come to visit!
Caitlin spent many high school lunches at Pleasure Pizza for their Cheesy Tuesday deal- a $1 slice of delicious pizza. Their very first Santa Cruz date was here at this very spot.
The only place Caitlin will go bowling with James as bowling is banned in their house due to the obvious differences in skill level. Just kidding, but this spot is a must do every time James and Caitlin are in town. Bonus is the arcade and actual Boardwalk right across the street, two other great things to do!
A fun tap house with plenty of seating area and corn hole! James and Caitlin almost booked another wedding venue just because of its proximity to this spot.
A fun place to get some Santa Cruz gear!
A social club with good food, drinks, and a pool deck in the Santa Cruz Mountains.
A wonderful bakery with delicious baked goods, coffee, and whole meals that they can serve hot or to go!
A true SC icon! They are closed during the week for the season, however the classic arcade is open every day and the rides are open on Saturday and Sunday. No need to buy a ticket! You can go and walk around and check out the sights and sounds of the beach boardwalk. If a ride in the Giant Dipper interests you, you can purchase a ticket to ride it. Our personal favorite is the Wipeout ride.
A must-Caitlin and James' favorite sushi spot. Caitlin was incredibly eager to show James this spot on their first visit up north.
