Because we like to make things complicated. But really, because this is our favorite place and it's where we fell in love. We were still newly dating when the pandemic hit. Chris decided to spend the summer near friends who were starting a restaurant on Mount Desert Island and he invited Susan to come visit. She packed for one week but ended up staying three months. Since then, we have started a small vacation rental business on the island and try to be up here as much as we can. We can't wait to have all our loved ones up here in this special place with us, and appreciate you making the trip to celebrate with us.
We love your little ones but the wedding ceremony and reception will be adults only. That said, MDI is a great place for a family vacation, so if you decide to travel with your kids, and are looking for a babysitter for the wedding night, let us know and we will connect you with other guests doing the same thing.

Buses will run regularly from the venue between 8:45 PM and 11:30 PM, with drop-offs at all pick-up locations. Please plan to take one of the buses home, as there are no late-night cab or Uber options on the island.
Cocktail Attire Have fun with it—colorful and festive looks encouraged! The ceremony will be on a lawn with some uneven ground, so wear suitable footwear (think block heels, wedges, etc.).
The weather in June can be a little unpredictable! We recommend planning for daytime temperatures in the 60s-70s with chillier mornings and evenings - pack layers!
