The Menil Collection

The Menil Collection is an art museum and art neighborhood spanning 30 acres in the heart of Houston, Texas. Admission is free. Nish and Susie had their engagement photos here, and are huge supporters of the mission of The Menil Collection, which aims to make art accessible to all. Ask Nish about his pro bono work on behalf of the Menil!

NASA Space Center

Color Factory

Nish & Susie's last date before Covid lockdown, and the original location of this popular exhibit. At first you think you're just "going for the 'gram" but by the end you're jumping in a NASA-themed ball pit and embracing your inner child.

Pete's Dueling Piano Bar

A lively piano bar where Nish & Susie celebrated their 4 year anniversary. Good for rowdy groups and sing-a-longs. (Note: A little hard to find the entrance; on 3rd floor)

Axelrad Beer Garden

An outdoor oasis and watering hole.

Musaafer

Nish & Susie's favorite restaurant in Houston. Get Mithu's Coriander Prawns, the Chaanmp lamb chops, the Veg Seekh Kebab, and Butter Chicken Experience. Veg/V friendly.

The Pit Room

All BBQ is good BBQ. We don't pick favorites and have always had good experiences here. Nice covered outdoor space for groups.

Truth BBQ

A legendary Texan BBQ joint, and considered #3 in the State. Seal of approval from Susie's maternal Uncle James, Aunt Nicky and cousin Allie.

Crawfish & Noodles

The name says it all. Cajun and Vietnamese seem like an obvious combination once you try it.

The Annie

Nish will tell you the whole menu is good. But for Susie, the tortilla soup is where it's at. Very close to the venue.

Nancy's Hustle

Come for the "Nancy Cakes." A beautiful pancake-blini with caviar and creme fraiche.
