Please RSVP by March 15, 2024
We wish we could have your loved one attend, however, unless otherwise noted, please stick to the guests included on your invite.
We will have a photographer and videographer attending all events. In addition, we will offer numerous 'photo ops' for you to take pictures with the happy couple. As a result we would ask that you stow away your phone during events and enjoy the magic of the celebration! Again, while a selfie or small group photo is okay, please don't take photos of the couple, dancing performances, wedding ceremony, etc. We don't want your phone visible in our official photographs!
We are so glad you asked! We encourage you to wear Indian attire for the Sangeet Friday night, but both Indian and Western attire are welcome. Indian or Western attire is appropriate for the Saturday ceremony and Saturday evening reception. For newbies to the beautiful world of Indian fashion, we have prepared a STYLE GUIDE that walks you through common attire worn at weddings and suggestions on where to purchase clothes. LINK TO STYLE GUIDE: https://drive.google.com/file/d/1bg8CZyjbPNM-e8c9TqzdqFMpEPwnVaDx/view?usp=sharing If you prefer dresses, you will likely enjoy wearing sarees or an anarkali suit. If you prefer skirts and two pieces, lehengas are your best bet. If you enjoy a smart blouse and slacks, we suggest a salwar kameez. If you enjoy suits, we recommend a sherwani or jodhpuri suit. If you prefer a less tailored fit, we suggest a kurta (especially when paired with your favorite vest). All of these are appropriate Indian style wedding wear options!
You don't "have" to do anything, but we do think you will enjoy the festivities more if you dress the part! We encourage everyone to wear Indian attire for the sangeet if possible, but both Indian and Western attire are welcome. If you prefer not to or if a new outfit is not in the cards for you right now, we would ask that you embrace the festive nature of our wedding -- step out of your comfort zone and wear colorful attire, intricate prints, unique tie, flashy pocket squares, or bold jewelry.
The dress code for each event is as follows: Sangeet | "Indian Festive" — Colorful Indian attire encouraged, Western cocktail attire welcome. All colors may be worn. Baraat/Ceremony | "Daytime Cocktail Attire" — For Indian wear, consider colorful, daytime hues. For Western wear, consider colorful daytime cocktail, floral prints, suits in lighter hues, and colorful ties and pocket square. Solid black or white should be avoided. Reception | "Black Tie Optional" — Tuxes, gowns, and sarees are welcome, and so are suits and cocktail dresses. All colors may be worn.
