To travel from India to Cancun, you’ll need to fly to Cancun International Airport (CUN) with a layover, as there are no direct flights from India. Common layover cities include Dubai, Frankfurt, or London, depending on the airline you choose. As for visa requirements, Indian passport holders do need a visa to enter Mexico. You can apply for a tourist visa through the Mexican embassy or consulate in India. It's recommended to apply well in advance. You’ll also need to provide documents such as your passport, flight itinerary, hotel reservation (which will be included with your room booking at the resort), and proof of financial means.
Houston has convenient flight options to Cancun from both George Bush Intercontinental (IAH) and Hobby Airport (HOU). Airlines like United, Southwest, and Spirit offer daily nonstop service, and the flight typically takes about 2 hours. For more budget-friendly fares, Viva Aerobus also offers great options with 1-stop connections—I've personally flown with them before and had a smooth experience!
We would like to have everyone RSVP by August 31st for the most accurate headcount. We will send out last minute reminders for those who haven't rsvp'd closer to the deadline.
Transportation to and from the resort is not included, so guests will need to arrange their own airport transfers. We do not recommend using Uber or local taxis, as prices are often significantly inflated. For a smooth and stress-free arrival, we highly suggest booking a private or shared shuttle in advance. You'll find our trusted shuttle providers listed on the Travel page of our website. Be sure to have your flight details and resort information ready when booking! Reach out with any questions—we’re more than happy to help!
We recommend arriving Thursday, December 11, 2025, and departing Sunday, December 14, 2025 to enjoy the full weekend of events.
Yes! A valid passport is required to travel to Mexico. Make sure yours is up-to-date and doesn't expire within 6 months of travel.
Once you land at Cancun International Airport, ignore the vendors inside the terminal who may try to sell you taxis, tours, or time shares. If you’ve pre-booked a shuttle, head outside to meet your driver—they’ll be holding a sign with your name or the company logo. You can book any excursions or off-site activities directly at the resort if you're interested in exploring during your stay!
We kindly ask that all guests stay at the wedding resort (Royalton Riviera Cancun), as all of the wedding events will be held onsite. Due to resort policies, only guests staying at the resort will be allowed to attend the wedding celebrations. If you're unable to stay at the resort for any reason, please reach out to the bride or groom directly so we can explore special accommodation options for you. We want everyone to be part of the celebration and will do our best to help!
Nope! A rental car is not necessary unless you’re planning to explore areas outside the resort. Everything for the wedding will be onsite, and shuttles or private transfers from the airport are much easier and stress-free.
The resort is all-inclusive, which means your stay includes accommodations, meals, snacks, drinks (yes, cocktails too!), and access to resort amenities and events.
Yes, absolutely! If you're looking to add some adventure to your trip, there are plenty of excursions you can book directly through the resort. Popular options include: 1. While traditional South Asian attire is encouraged, please feel free to wear whatever makes you feel comfortable and festive. Need ideas? Pinterest is a great place to start!
We would love to celebrate each moment with you, but we understand if you can’t make every event. Come to what you can—we’ll be thrilled to have you!
