It all started at a friend’s birthday party in 2018. Jasmin spotted Surya across the room and thought he looked familiar… like “Instagram familiar.” So naturally, she walked right up to him and asked if he followed her on Instagram earlier that week. Even though they had never met before, Surya claimed he didn’t remember (still suspicious to this day). But sure enough, he slid into her DMs the very next day—and the rest, as they say, is history. From our very first date, we realized how much we had in common: we both went to the University of Houston (Go Coogs!), shared a love for the Houston Rockets, had an interest for supercars, and were always down to explore Houston’s food scene. It didn’t take long for us to meet each other’s friends and form one big, inseparable crew. Our relationship began with a strong foundation of friendship—built on shared goals, endless support, and genuine fun. Over the years, we’ve traveled the world, created unforgettable memories, grown closer to each other’s families, and continued to strengthen the bond that started with a simple (possibly strategic) Instagram follow. And now we’re beyond excited to say… we’re getting married! We can’t wait to celebrate this next chapter of our story with you in beautiful Mexico!
