This is one of my very favorite places in Portland. If you’ve never been, it is an absolute treat! It is serene and beautiful and it is right in the heart of Downtown Portland.
Powell's City of Books
Okay, so we all know Powell’s Books. Most of us have probably been there at least once. BUT! Do you know about the RARE BOOK ROOM?! It’s on the top floor and you have to check in at the little desk outside of it. But it is definitely worth a visit. It has the most interesting books in there. (And it’s free!) My favorite recommendation for a fun, affordable, thing to do while in Portland.
Tom McCall Waterfront Park
Beautiful walking path along the Willamette river in Downtown Portland. If you are here on Saturday, the Portland Saturday Market is under the Burnside Bridge along the pathway. Definitely stop by the largest continuously running open-air arts and crafts market in the country! You will definitely find something to take back home with you.
End of the Oregon trail museum
Fun and educational. Come see where the Lewis and Clark expedition ended! Just a short drive from the wedding venue.
