A small family-owned theme park with a fairy tale theme. Summer begs to go here every year. More geared toward younger children, however, Summer would disagree. We will be going the day after the wedding (Sunday the 7th around noon) and hope to see you there as well!
A beautiful park located along the Willamette River, and home to the carousel Summer grew up going to. It is downtown and nearby you will find many options for food and shopping
This is a 90.5-acre city park, home to Salem’s Municipal Rose Garden, and where Summer’s paternal grandparents were married, this is a wonderful place for people-watching, plant lovers, and a picnic spot (mind the bees).
The largest antique store in Salem. Summer's favorite antique store. SO much to look at!
It has a SHOP CAT!!!! What more could you ask for?
30 minutes from the venue people call it the “crown jewel” of the Oregon State Parks system. This is a beautiful hike passing a series of waterfalls in an enchanting and dense forest setting. You can even walk behind the 177-foot waterfall!
A bar-cade with traditional and new-age coin-op machines in Downtown. (This was the first stop on our first night out together!)
Our favorite pumpkin patch, and also a year-round farmers market.
Summer’s favorite pie with a cute shop with lots of local products and kitchen tools. In-house pie-shakes (RIP Shari’s Cafe), and other delectable desserts.
Award-winning winery, and our favorite local winery. Located in the hills with beautiful scenery.
Formally known as Basil and Board, the restaurant in which we met, this new restaurant has a fun atmosphere and rooftop seating.
TapRoot is a downtown restaurant with top-notch food and drink options and a super cozy lounge area in the back. (Good vegan options)
Converted house to restaurant, minimal seating, but it’s the best breakfast in Salem. Join the waitlist online (highly recommended)!
This is one of our favorite local breakfast spots!
