Things to do in Leadville
Silver Dollar Saloon - a historic 1800's saloon with great food on Leadville's main street. Leadville Railroad - a scenic 2 hour train ride. Our venue, FREIGHT, is an old train depot along the route. The train station is located just two blocks from FREIGHT. Twin Lakes (pictured) - one of our favorite places to hike, paddle, camp and swim! Plenty of hiking trails and off roading in the area. 25 minutes south of Leadville. Interlaken Trail is one of our favorites for hiking in the fall. Turquoise Lake - 10 minutes outside of Leadville. Hiking trails along the lake. Buena Vista - a cute mountain town 35 minutes south of Leadville along the Arkansas river. Numerous rafting companies for those wanting to white water raft! Multiple hot springs nearby.
Things to do in Denver
Edgewater Beer Garden - our local watering hole. Great food in addition to beer and cocktails with a dog friendly patio. Sloans Lake (pictured) - our favorite place to walk the dogs with both mountain and city skyline views. A paved 2.5 mile loop goes around the lake. Restaurants and breweries nearby on 17th avenue (the Patio and Odell Brewery are two of our favorites!) Edgewater Public Marketplace - one of our favorite spots for food, shops, games and drinks. Great place to get a local souvenir! Cheesman Park - a great place for a stroll in the historic Capitol Hill neighborhood. Grab coffee and a bagel sandwich at nearby Thump Coffee.
