What is the dress code?

Answer

Mountain Cocktail Think cocktail attire with comfort for the outdoors. Suits or dress shirts with slacks, cocktail dresses, cowboy boots, dress shoes or outdoor-friendly heels, and layers for cooler mountain evenings are all welcome.

What will the weather be like?

Answer

In Leadville it's usually around 60-70 degrees in the summer. Don't be fooled by the milder temps, the sun is extra strong at that elevation so sunscreen is a must! In the summer, short-lived afternoon thunderstorms are common in the mountains and at night the temps can drop to the 40's so layers are your friend.

Tips for High Altitude

Answer

Leadville, CO has an elevation of 10,200 feet and is the highest incorporated city in North America. With this high elevation the sun is stronger, the air is thinner, and alcohol hits you faster. Altitude sickness can present as dizziness, headaches and shortness of breath. If you start feeling sick, the nurses will be off duty! Get rest, stay hydrated and seek lower elevation if symptoms are severe. If you are prone to altitude sickness, consider asking your doctor about medications to help prior to the trip.

Will there be a shuttle?

Answer

No. We recommend for guests to find an accommodation within walking distance to our reception venue, FREIGHT. Guests will need to transport themselves to the ceremony site (see schedule page for details). After the ceremony, we recommend for guests to drop their car off at their accommodation before cocktail hour, then walk to the venue OR drive to the venue and park there (OK to leave it overnight if needed).

What's for dinner?

Answer

We will have a buffet with chicken and steak options, along with apps during cocktail hour. If you have dietary restrictions, you will be able to note that on your invite when you RSVP. There will be an open bar throughout cocktail hour and the reception, however we recommend cash for tips and if you choose to go to the bars after the reception.

Are plus one's and children allowed?

Your invitation will indicate if you have a plus one. Sorry, no kids allowed.
