Nate and Katy first met in 2020 shortly after Katy moved to Denver from Wisconsin. Nate had been in Colorado since college but is originally from Minnesota. The mid-west transplants met through mutual friends (shoutout to bridesmaid Jenna Turnquist!). Their first date was a hike at St. Mary's glacier followed by margaritas at a restaurant downtown. They now live in Edgewater with their dogs McKinley & Aspen. Nate proposed to Katy in 2025 during a vacation in Spain.
