For those of you that prefer to stay in a home and/or in a large group, there are lots of Airbnbs in the East Austin neighborhood. Here are our favorite pockets of it: - Intersection of Navasota St and Holly St (by Gati Ice Cream): This is where we live. We might be biased, but it's the best 😊 -- walkable to Rainey St, a few blocks from the lake, close to E 6th St, etc. This is also where the Thursday welcome event is being held. - E 6th St (by Violet Crown Social Club): This corridor is super convenient -- steps from coffee shops, bars, restaurants, Target and Whole Foods. The nightlife scene starts around there and heads east (towards Whisler's). We will most likely be afterparty-ing around here on Friday night. - Further out in East Austin (by Fleet Coffee): Love this area as well! It's walking distance to HEB, the local Texas grocery chain, and lots of fun hipster places. Honestly, you can't go wrong within 78702. Everything you'd want is a walk or short scooter ride away.
