Wedding Weekend FAQs
Question

I'm trying to book a room but there are no more rooms availalbe in the Storm-Cannon wedding block.

Answer

No worries at all! Please let us know, and we’ll request additional rooms to be added to the wedding block.

Question

How do I book a room in the Storm-Cannon wedding block?

Answer

Under the ‘Travel’ section, you’ll find all our suggested hotels with a reserved Storm–Cannon wedding block. Most listings include a direct link to book your room. For POSH and The Grant Street Inn, please call the listed number to make your reservation.

Question

What if I don't want to pay for hotel parking? What are my other parking options?

Answer

There’s metered parking around town—on the street, in surface lots, and in parking garages. College towns love tickets, so be sure to check the signs before you park! For more details, visit https://www.visitbloomington.com/plan/getting-to-bloomington/downtown-parking/. .

Question

Will the Storm–Cannon wedding block and rate still be available this fall if I wait to book my room?

Answer

Our room blocks are courtesy holds only. If hotel demand is high—especially due to the IU athletic schedule—any unbooked rooms in our wedding block may be released. If we add more rooms later, the hotel may not be able to offer the same rate you see now. Bottom line: we highly encourage you to book early to secure your room and rate!

Question

Should I drive or Uber to the Wedding Venue- Woolery Mill?

Answer

The Woolery Mill is located about 3.7 miles from downtown Bloomington and has plenty of on-site parking. Guests may also choose to arrange transportation, as an open bar will be available throughout the evening.

Question

Who is invited to the Welcome Party Friday evening?

Answer

EVERYONE! A perfect opportunity to mix and mingle with friends and family—old and new! We know many of you will be traveling in for the weekend, and we’re so excited to spend time with you.

Question

What's the weather like in Bloomington in December?

Answer

Great question! Bloomington’s Midwestern location means we experience all four distinct seasons—winter, spring, summer, and fall—each with its own beauty, character, and temperatures. We recommend checking the weather forecast about a week before December 12 and planning accordingly.
