Question

How do I prepare for coming to Colorado?

Answer

Start drinking more water than you normally do ASAP! Hydration can help mitigate/avoid altitude sickness and reduce hangovers. While in the mountains, we highly recommend wearing sunscreen or long sleeves. We’ll be at 9,000 to 11,500 feet, and it’s easy to get sunburned. At elevation, your body processes alcohol much slower. Consider drinking less than usual. See more about altitude sickness, including symptoms and what to do here: https://wwwnc.cdc.gov/travel/page/travel-to-high-altitudes

Question

What's the weather like?

Answer

The forecast keeps changing, but during the day it will be about 65-70°, although due to the direct sunlight, it will feel warmer than that in the sun and cooler than that in the shade. At night leaving the wedding venue it will be about 47°. It’s not uncommon for an afternoon shower. We recommend bringing layers!

Question

Will there be fireworks on the fourth?

Answer

Vail will have fireworks. Other towns will have live music. Check out details below. Frisco – North Mississippi All Stars play – 5:30 p.m. Dillion – USAF band – 6 p.m. Breck – National repertory orchestra – 6 p.m. Vail – Fireworks start ~9:45 p.m.

Question

Is there an afterparty?

Answer

We're planning to go to Goat Soup and Whiskey (next to the Hyatt) after the wedding. Join if you'd like to keep the celebration going!
