The place where "yay friendship" was born! Eric and Alyssa had lunch here on February 15, 2023 just before having their first "official" date a few days later. The food is delicious and the atmosphere is great! If you happen to be there on a rainy night, the owner might offer you a glass of grappa!
Stacy's at Melrose
Our first "official" date was here! We saw the Trey Cabaret together and the rest was history! Come here for dancing, drinks, drag shows, and a darn good time!
The Phoenix Theatre Company
We are big theatre people and we met when we were both working at The Phoenix Theatre Company. They put on a fantastic show! The weekend of our wedding they have two shows running, Million Dollar Quartet and Come From Away.
Phoenix Art Museum
A real gem and conveniently located near Downtown Phoenix and next door to The Phoenix Theatre Company. There are stunning permanent exhibits, and they often have amazing fashion exhibits on display.
PROVISION
This is a fantastic coffee shop by day and bar by night! There is a huge wall of plants and fun murals. If you're looking for a cool spot for a meal any time of day, this is it! We go here almost every Thursday evening for trivia, and it has become one of our favorite places.
Musical Instrument Museum
The Musical Instrument Museum is a truly unique gem! This museum has a global collection of musical instruments from over 200 countries and territories. Make sure to get a guidePORT, so you can enjoy the sounds of the instruments as you walk through the galleries. Alyssa gets to help bring thousands of students each year to the MIM through her work at Act One!
McDowell Mountain Regional Park
If you're looking to get outdoors there is plenty to do in the Phoenix area (though we can't recommend too much from personal experience, because we are indoor children). This park located in the dark sky city of Fountain Hills offers a beautiful view of the vast desert night sky.
