Bridesman
Julie’s younger (and arguably cooler) brother. They’ve always been close and still call each other by a rotating list of ridiculous nicknames that have somehow stuck around for years.

Sister Steven and Stacy grew up together in Fremont in the Bay Area, navigating childhood side-by-side. Although, Steven would say it wasn't until Stacy went to college that she realized how great she had it with a legendary younger brother. Stacy often set the pace for the family with her constant high grades and her decision to pursue a career in medicine—which, while prestigious, is quite challenging. Steven, on the other hand, chose the much more flexible and happy lifestyle of working in tech, much to Stacy's chagrin; she constantly claims she does not think Steven works at all. Stacy is the definition of a stray cat. She adopts the mentality where only she can bully her younger brother. While happy to put him down all the time, she will defend her territory against anyone else. Ah, true sibling love... Over the years, she's mellowed out into a warm, lovable house cat, most likely due to Kristina's influence. She's the keeper of many childhood stories, and if you ever want a unique perspective on Steven, perhaps find her and ask about the fountain story.
Bridesmaid
Julie met Angela during their first year in the dorms at UC Irvine. What started as classmates in Pharmaceutical Sciences eventually turned into roommates in their later years — and then into a lifelong bond. Julie would not have survived Pharm Sci without Angela by her side. While Julie eventually ditched the field for tech, Angela stayed the course and is now a a legal drug dealer (Pharmacist). She lives in Sacramento but still makes the drive down to visit Julie whenever she can.
Groomsman
One would question how the world could handle two Chows at the same time; add a third to the mix, and everything goes crazy. Steven and Austin grew up as cousins who saw each other once a year around Christmastime down in LA. Although they didn’t get to meet up often, they were as thick as thieves. Constantly facing the "abuse" of Stacy (a common theme here), they would team up to poke the dragon and run away cackling together. When they were both in their respective colleges in Southern California, Steven and Austin had the opportunity to hang out more. From college parties where USC—surprisingly—just couldn't keep up with Irvine (ask Austin about it) to Steven eventually moving to USC for grad school, the two started spending more time together. Their favorite activity was hitting the local school bar, 901, for their $5 daily happy hour drinks that—luckily for them—lasted all day. From cousins to drinking buddies to housemates, Steven and Austin’s relationship has grown over the years into something truly unique.
Bridesmaid
Julie met Ivy during their second year at UC Irvine when they happened to be neighbors. They instantly clicked, and Ivy was the one who convinced Julie to join Circle K—where she eventually met Steven. To this day, they still share the same brain cell.
Groomsman
You might question how the world handled three Chows, but look out—there’s a fourth one here! Although Daniel’s last name might be Lin, he’s truly one of the "Chowiest" Chows out there. As one of the cousins competing for the title of "Most Educated," Daniel is easily one of the most impressive people Steven knows. As a PhD graduate from USC (somehow three of us ended up there), Daniel's trajectory is only going up. Steven remembers the days when Daniel was relatively quiet and shy—back when he was too scared to eat sushi and would only eat tamago. Now, Daniel travels the world at the drop of a hat. He’s flown to New York for a random house party just to DJ for a friend for a single day, staying for less than 24 hours. He once even traveled for over 26 hours to get to Korea just to secure the most affordable flight as a "side quest." If you’ve ever seen Hamilton, you know Daniel grinds like he’s running out of time. It’s amazing how far Daniel has come, and if you’re looking for a fun conversation, go find him and chat him up!
Bridesmaid
Julie met Jennifer during their first year in the dorms at UC Irvine. They later became roommates and quickly bonded over late-night chats, shared adventures, and many questionable college decisions. Over the years they’ve remained close friends and frequent travel buddies. Jennifer is also easily Julie’s most fashionable, cool, and genuinely nice friend.
Groomsman
Steven and Cody met during their freshman year (although neither of them remembers it), but they didn't officially become friends until junior year. In fact, they became more than just friends—they became housemates. Although they share the same last name (phonetically; though "Chow" is clearly superior), Steven and Cody bonded over their shared silliness and goofiness. They spent many nights playing Super Smash Bros. into the early morning, having late-night chats, and listening to Cody yell at the household for being too messy, among many other things. One of the main things that helped Steven and Cody become great friends is Cody’s emotional intelligence and heart. Cody is one of the most understanding and accommodating people Steven knows. He’s the kind of person who will sit and chat with you and get you to spill everything without you even realizing it. He connects effortlessly, listens wholeheartedly, and somehow always knows exactly what to say (or when to just sit in silence). If you’ve ever had a deep talk with Cody, you walked away feeling understood and seen. If you ever want to expand your viewpoints on anything or have a fun conversation, feel free to chat Cody up—and be sure to ask him about the "mysterious toilet pooper."
Father of the Bride
Julie gets her sass, sarcasm, and quick one-liners from her dad. If she ever sounds a little mean, she blames him — because that’s exactly who she learned it from.
Father of the Groom
Papa Chow has been Steven’s role model, compass, and quiet source of strength for as long as he can remember. From childhood lessons to adult advice, he’s always led not just with words — but with example. Hard work, integrity, resilience — Steven learned what those looked like by watching his dad live them every day. But if you’ve ever had the pleasure of chatting with Papa Chow, you’ll quickly realize he’s not just wise — he’s hilarious. The timing, the dry delivery, the subtle one-liners that sneak up on you — that’s exactly where Steven gets his sense of humor. Some might even say he’s been trying to live up to it ever since. More than anything, Papa Chow has been the steady presence in every chapter of Steven’s life — cheering him on, grounding him when needed, and always ready with advice (whether it was asked for or not).
Mother of the Bride
Julie gets her calm, chill personality — along with her work ethic — from her mom. While both are very Type B people, they're surprisingly quite Type A when it comes to work.
Mother of the Groom
Mama Chow has been the driving force behind Steven’s success from day one — whether he wanted to admit it or not. Growing up, while Steven may have been deeply committed to perfecting the art of laziness, Mama Chow was even more committed to making sure that phase didn’t define his future. Homework didn’t magically get done. College applications didn’t submit themselves. And “I’ll do it later” was never an acceptable long-term strategy under her watch. With a mix of persistence, tough love, and unconditional support, she made sure Steven stayed on track — even when he occasionally tried to wander off it. Without her steady presence, constant reminders, and unwavering belief in him (sometimes more than he believed in himself), who knows if he would have made it through school at all. Mama Chow didn’t just raise Steven — she propelled him. And while he may joke about his youthful laziness, he knows exactly who deserves the credit for getting him to where he is today.
