It's just a few steps from our hotel blocks and has some beautiful grounds to bop about!
It's on the same street as our venue. Admission is $16 if you need something to do the afternoon before the ceremony.
Forest Park truly contains multitudes. It's between the Zoo, the St. Louis Art Museum, the Missouri History Museum, the St. Louis Science Center, The Muny, The Jewel Box, The 1904 World's Fair Pavilion, a 9-hole golf course, and the Boat House, there is a lot of fun to be had!!
We know we just mentioned it with Forest Park, but it deserves its own listing because it's that good. And it's FREE!
IYKYK Steve and Steph love a brewery and so does the Lou. STL is home to the King of Beers, and Anheuser-Busch (and Grant's Farm) are pretty fun, but we also love our craft beer friends as well. A few of our faves include: Modern Brewery, Perennial Brewing, Urban Chestnut, Heavy Riff, 2nd Shift, Rockwell, 4hands, and more. Like we said, we love a brewery.
An ever-evolving, always thrilling, ARTIST-built playground full of weirdly wonderful places to explore.
Lots of fun to be had here. The aquarium, the wheel, the light show in the grand hall at the Union Station Hotel, etc.
It's one of our favorite neighborhoods in the city. It hosts Platypus (an incredible cocktail bar), The Gramophone (funky sandwiches and Bloody Marys rimmed with Red Hot Riplets), Trops (For all you Mizzou alums in a Silver Bullet deficiency), and a lil drag for all our queens.
The Toasted Ravioli. An icon, a treat, and an institution. We will have a twist at cocktail hour, courtesy of Salt + Smoke, but for the original goodness, we have some options here: While Mama's on the Hill and Charlie Gitto's both claim an origin story, heading pretty much anywhere on The Hill will get you a tasty treat. A Robertson fave is Anthonino's. Trattoria Marcella is well-renowned, and O+O Pizza is a hot spot away from The Hill (Chef Mikey has the goods!) For other unexpected twists, Katie's Pizza and Pasta has an artichoke and cheese-stuffed t-rav, Twisted Tree has a brisket-stuffed t-rav, The Parkmoor Drive-in has a buffalo queso t-rav, and Three Kings has a spicy chicken t-rav.
