This is where our Welcome Party, Ceremony and Reception will take place. It's a 8-10 minute walk to the center of town. There is a block of rooms reserved if you'd like to stay here, too! It's a beautiful property. The Duruelo is now available to book on Booking.com and Expedia! This is the best, and easiest, option. In the "Special Requests" section when booking, mention that you'll be attending the Toll-Cañon wedding so they put you in our room block. Check both websites to see which is offering a better rate, it should be around $129 per night. Sometimes the prices fluctuate and one website is way cheaper than the other. Courtyard by Marriott Bogota Airport
Most flights back to the US leave Bogota early in the morning. After departing Villa de Leyva on Saturday afternoon, we recommend staying at a hotel near the airport for easy access to the airport the next morning. While there are no hotels directly in the airport, this hotel has great reviews, is just 1.3km away and offers a free shuttle. If you are taking our provided transportation from Villa de Leyva to Bogota, the bus will drop you off here. For those guests arriving on flights Tuesday night, I highly recommend staying here. We will have the 8am airport bus pick you up around 8:30am, once it has collected all of our guests at the airport. Please notify us if you are doing this, we need to make sure we reserve you a seat on the bus. Otherwise, private transportation is a great option! If you choose to stay at another airport hotel, that is totally fine! Ubers can take you from the Courtyard by Marriott to any other hotel in the area - or anywhere in Bogota. Ubers are safe and very affordable. Always Uber and do not take taxis.

Montreal to Bogota
There are nonstop flights from Montreal to Bogota on AirCanda. For the departure to Bogota, you would leave at 10:45pm on Tuesday and arrive at 4:05am on Wednesday to take the morning coach bus to Villa de Leyva. The return to Montreal is on Monday (Memorial Day), May, 26th, at 9am. This flight is nonstop and lands in Montreal at 4:30pm. If you choose this flight, we recommend spending one extra night (Saturday, May 24th) in Villa de Leyva and traveling back to an airport hotel in Bogota on Sunday, May 25th. Many people are staying in Villa de Leyva Saturday night and traveling back to Bogota on Sunday. There will not be any buses going to Bogota on Sunday, so if you choose to stay in Villa de Leyva an extra day, you will want to book private transportation back to Bogota. There are several affordable options. This is the one I recommend (https://shorturl.at/3fBfY). They guarantee an English speaking guide and will stop for sightseeing opportunities if you have extra time! This is priced per vehicle (not per person) and is around $168 for groups of 1-3 people, $291 for groups of 4 and $343 for groups of 5-7.

Boston to Bogota on Avianca - UPDATED
When we originally planned the wedding, there was a nonstop flight from Boston to Bogota that worked perfectly for our dates. Unfortunately, that flight no longer is offered. Now, we recommend booking from Boston with a stop, or booking out of Burlington with a stop. Another option is to drive to Montreal, Newark or JFK for a nonstop flight.

JFK to Bogota on Avianca
We encourage guests to plan to arrive early in the morning on Wednesday, May 21st. We will have transportation for the group from El Dorado International Airport in Bogota to Villa de Leyva, the town our wedding is in. Travel time is approximately three hours. This flight leaves JFK at 11:55pm on Tuesday and arrives on Wednesday morning at 4:55am. A flight from Boston, with several guests, will be arriving at the same time. A coach bus will meet you at international arrivals to transport you to your hotel in Villa de Leyva. We will also provide transportation back to Bogota, to airport hotels, on Saturday, May 24th. Most flights leave around 7am on Sunday, May 25th. Flight to Bogota: AV 245 Return to JFK: AV 210 These are nonstop flights!

This is a budget friendly hotel located right in the heart of Villa de Leyva. Stephen and I stayed here in Summer 2024 and loved it. It's cute, affordable and the owners are so kind! They also have a great on-site restaurant. This hotel is a 10 minute walk to Hotel Duruelo, where the majority of our wedding festivities will take place.

Located right in the center of town, an easy 15 minute walk to the wedding venue, this traditional, colonial style hotel is beautiful and affordable. They also offer great family accommodations, for those traveling in groups.
