Transportation from Bogota Airport to Villa de Leyva

Optional Wednesday Transportation from Bogota Airport to Villa de Leyva
Please let us know if you will be taking the 8am bus, the 2pm bus or reserving your own transportation. We will need to know when you RSVP if you will be taking our provided transportation, so we ensure we have the correct size buses. If you choose to book your own transportation, I recommend this option (https://shorturl.at/3fBfY). They guarantee an English speaking guide and will stop for sightseeing opportunities if you have extra time! This is priced per vehicle (not per person) and is around $168 for groups of 1-3 people, $291 for groups of 4 and $343 for groups of 5-7. These drivers will pick you up at the airport when your flight lands and drive you to your hotel. Note: You can, most likely, order an Uber to Villa de Leyva from the airport. Online, Uber is showing prices of $120-$150 per car (up to 4 people), but larger Ubers are available too. I have never tried to book an Uber from the airport to Villa de Leyva, but several blogs and sites say it's possible.

We’ve arranged for English-speaking tour guides to lead a walking tour of Villa de Leyva for our wedding guests! If you’d like to join this complimentary tour, please meet in the lobby of Hospedería Duruelo by 9:50am. There is need to sign up in advance. The tour will last approximately 1 hour and 30 minutes - 2 hours.

Join us for an outdoor Welcome Party! We are so excited to welcome you to our Wedding Weekend in Villa de Leyva. Dinner will be served in addition to cocktails and non-alcoholic beverages. Cocktail attire is requested. This means a suit or a nice blazer with dress pants and a dress shirt for men. For women, a knee-length or midi dress, jumpsuit, or elegant separates like a blouse and skirt or tailored pants. When choosing footwear, keep in mind that this is an outdoor event on grass and cobblestones.

Our Wedding Ceremony will be held in an outdoor courtyard on cobblestones and the reception will be indoors. Formal attire is requested for the wedding. This means a dark suit and tie for men and floor length dresses for women.
Our wedding ceremony will begin at 5:15pm, please plan to arrive 15-20 minutes early to find your seats. Following our outdoor ceremony, our reception will also be held at the hotel beginning at 6pm. We invite you to enjoy dinner, drinks and dancing with us to celebrate!

Please join us for our Farewell Lunch!
Before retuning to Bogota, we invite you to join us at our Farewell Lunch at noon at Maria Bonita Hotel. From Hospedería Duruelo, Maria Bonita Hotel is a 15 minute walk. Following lunch, transportation will be provided from Villa de Leyva to Bogota. For the Farewell Brunch, the dress code is casual, but please no leggings, sweatpants, t-shirts, etc. Pants and a nice shirt, dresses, skirts, and jumpsuits are all great options.

Following our Farewell Lunch, a provided bus will depart for the Bogota Airport. The bus will drop you off at the Courtyard by Marriott Bogota Airport. This is a great hotel to stay at due to its proximity to the airport for your flight on Sunday. They have a free shuttle and are under a mile away from the airport. If you want to stay elsewhere, or stay in the city of Bogota, you can easily, and inexpensively, take an Uber from the Marriott. If you are staying an extra day in Villa de Leyva, or prefer private transportation, I recommend this option (https://shorturl.at/3fBfY).
