Mother of the Groom
Mom was born into a large family with 12 siblings. A fun fact is that she was born on her older brother Earl's 18th birthday. Growing up in a family of 12 you have a different experience than many. If you're looking for a good story you can ask any of the siblings about their mother and you will be in for a treat. Today Mom enjoys managing her horse farm. Any animal would be lucky to share a mom with me!
Mother of the Bride
My mom was born in raised in Glass, Virginia. She is one of 3 girls but was raised as the tomboy of her family. She was chosen to carry on the tradition that has been passed on through generations as a waterman. She continues to crab in the summers and oyster in the winters out of a 40 foot deadrise with my dad. They’ve worked together on the water my whole life. My mom loves the water, going Christmas shopping, spending time with her family, and having a good time. She’s a little crazy at times, but always means well.
Step-Father of the Groom
Brad is the zen to my mother's horse person. If you know, you know. When I think about Brad I am envious of his calm demeanor and ability to remain calm any time my mom is not. Brad is the guy you want to talk to about anything racing or sports.
Father of the Bride
My dad was born and raised in Moon, Virginia. (That’s in Mathews for those of you who don’t know.) My dad was given the nickname “Toad” when he was in high school by Mike Hurst. In addition to working on the water with my mom, he also works for Phillips Oil in the afternoons. He is extremely hard-working and has always been my biggest cheerleader. He loves sharing his knowledge, watching Lifetime moves, eating fried oysters, and hanging out with his family. You’d never be able to guess he is 12 years older than my mom- he is a “cool dad.”
Father of the Groom
My Dad is the life of any party. I think we enjoy each other the most when we find each other on accident at any get together. He aims to keep up with my dancing but sometimes, the student becomes the teacher.

Flower Girl
Harper is my neice and she will be turning 9 years old in November. She likes to play Fortnite as well as create things such as slime with her friends. She would like to work with and study animals as a Marine Biologist when she grows up. She hates the Corona Virus because she can't go to WaterCountry USA. One of her current favorite songs is "Kill this Love" by Blackpink- Look it up, it's actually not bad. This little lady is very shy at first, but is a ball of fun once she gets warmed up- over the years we have bribed her for hugs with candy and it has worked wonders- highly recommend.

Ring Bearer
Caleb is my nephew and also enjoys playing Fortnite as well as MarioKart. His favorite foods include hot dogs, chips, and strawberries. His favorite animal is currently a giraffe and he likes to listen to a boy band called "It Boys!" Also, not too shabby. He is a like a little energizer bunny and I can't wait to see his dance moves the night of the wedding.
Maid of Honor
Hannah is one of my best friends whom I met while in nursing school. She’ll come across as shy and quiet at first, but you’ll quickly learn how big her personality is when you get to know her. We’ve since shared many Starbucks runs (although she NEVER finishes her coffee, literally, never), toured most of the apartments in Shockoe Bottom, she agreed to coming to one of the Bena Seafood Festivals with me, and she’s always been down just to come over and hang out with Costa with me. She’s always down to dance with you, so be sure to drag her out on the dance floor if she isn’t already there.
Groomsmaid
Virginia, better known as Morgan is the youngest in our family. She is and has always been known as a wild child that won't be pushed around. She recently graduated from ODU and moved to Richmond. She is now my favorite neighbor.
Matron of Honor
Meg is one of my best friends whom I met while in nursing school. We both sat in the front row, asked 100s of questions, and hated the same teachers. Sharing a love of shopping for dresses we have no business buying- but rationalize it by sharing with each other, I have to thank Meg for the hair dryer I’m still borrowing from 2018…. Meg is extremely competitive, so be sure to find her on the day of if you’re up for a good time.
Groomsmaid
Lindsey is the middle child and has always been known as the kindest of the family. Always having an open heart for anyone who needs it Lindsey is the one you want to look if you need a hand. Today she enjoys hanging out with her rottweiler "weezy" and riding her motorcycle. Ask her how to make your favorite mixed drink.
Bridesmaid
Ashley and I have known each other the longest out of my bridesmaids, and she is the most FUN. Back in our wild days (when Damon’s was the move every Friday/Saturday night), we were partners in crime. It was a stretch when I first moved to Richmond, but through the existence of boat days and Toad burgers- our friendship has persisted. Ashley is funny and knows she’s funny- which makes her SO FUN. She loves to dance and just have a good time. Make sure you get next to her on the dance floor, she’ll be singing whatever song is playing!
Groomsman
Landon & Jeff have been friends since elementary school; however, it became a little more serious in high school. Through parties, mud bogs, growing up together in Gloucester, and just acting like the hoodlums they are- their love grew into best friends. Their time together is spent talking about trucks, fishing, and reminiscing on the old days. You may not see Jeff on the dance floor, but you will be able to find him wherever the cold beer is being served. Want to hear a good story? Go find Jeff and make some small talk.
Bridesmaid
Blair and I met at Walter Reed Hospital as CNAs. Our paths crossed again when I started working on the Burn Unit. Since then, we became extremely close and spent a lot of time together. We share the love for so many of the same things; boating, traveling, beaching, twerking, time with family, reaching career goals, and if course wedding festivities. Watch out y’all, Blair might be hosting a twerk competition at the reception…better start practicing!
Groomsman
Johnny and I got connected while participating in some ONB (official nurse business) with Blair and Stephanie. Today we escape the ONB on the boat as often as possible. Johnny is almost as good a fisherman as me and I'm almost as good at video games as him. Ask Johnny if he knows anyone in West Point and you are sure to have a conversation.
Bridesmaid
Lily is the most kind-hearted/ animal loving person I know, we met on St. Patrick’s Day in 2015 (not sober). Throughout the years, we have spent so much time together from going to festivals, celebrating birthdays, Christmas, or just because it’s Friday and we hadn’t seen each other in too long. I love Lily for her huge heart and for being as emotional as I am… am I about to walk down the isle? Landon & I about to have our first dance? Y’all get Lily a tissue because she is not okay. (and neither am I, it’s fine). We WILL be investing in some waterproof mascara- don’t worry.
Groomsman
Landon & Max met on the same day Lily and I met- St. Patrick’s Day in 2015 (not sober). Max and Landon share a little birthday bond since their birthdays are a day apart (awe, how sweet). Whenever we have celebrated the boys- no matter whose birthday party is has been, the other has always graciously shared their day. Max and Landon get a lot of enjoyment at making fun of each other, they can’t simply tell the other hey or bye without some sort of comment attached to it. If that isn’t love- I don’t know what is. You will most definitely see Max out on the dance floor with his lady Lily- watch out of these two, they really know how to BUST A MOVE.
Bridesmaid
Toi is the sweetest person I know, we also met while working at the Virginia Treatment Center for Children back in 2014. Toi is scared of dogs but owns a long-haired chihuahua named Levi who is a wild child. It makes my whole day better whenever I get to see her! Toi has a really fun personality but may need a little liquid courage to bring it out. If she is empty handed, do me a favor and get my girl a drink!
Groomsman
Michael and I became friends in high school because we both enjoyed a good time. Michael is the number one dock builder anywhere and the most handsome man you will ever meet. While that's quite the combo, he's funny too and we always enjoy a good hour long conversation about anything we can laugh over. If you're looking for someone you can do a goofy dance with, Michael is your guy.
Bridesmaid
Leighanne is one of my dearest friends whom I met while working at the Virginia Treatment Center for Children back in 2014. She’s the kindest person you’ll ever meet and was my very first Galentine. We have spent many days together running errands (or just going to Old Navy), but now my favorite days are when our schedules let us grab lunch together. Leighanne has the sweetest little girl named Emma who is SUCH a crowd pleaser.
Groomsman
Landon & Mitch met through SCOR- where they both continue to play as teammates on their soccer team. Though soccer is what brought them together, the love for adventure and the outdoors really put the icing on the cake for these two. Much of their time spent together includes biking and fishing. Mitch is from New Jersey, went to Virginia Tech, and now works in the IT world. While Mitch is a little shy at first, you will definitely see him out on the dance floor with his awesome wife Katie- be sure to introduce yourself to this FUN couple.
Bridesmaid
Trinity was one of girls I found on Craigslist to live with when I moved to Richmond in 2012. We are complete opposites but quickly bonded over our love for Beyoncé and lattes. Since graduating she has lived in Nantucket, the Bahamas, and now she’s living in North Carolina. Trinity is one of those friends who can make anything fun- strep throat, breakups, fights with roommates….she’ll bring the humor, don’t worry. She has an infectious laugh and is bound to crack you up- definitely introduce yourself to her if y’all haven’t already met.
Groomsman
Landon & Derek met through their love of fishing. Personally, I don’t know why they love it so much because they never catch anything. But, they will send each other pictures of boats, talk about the bait and tackle they’re using, and make a plan to spend the day out on the water. Derek and Landon have helped each other in so many ways and at the drop of a hat. If one calls the other for help, no matter what is pertains to, the other shows up to help every time. Derek is who you want to talk to about fishing- if you have a question, he has the answer.
