Can I bring my kids?

Answer

Due to limited numbers, we hope you appreciate that children are only invited if named. Your invitations will be made out to “The [Your Last Name] Family” if your children have been invited, and “Mr. & Mrs.” if only you and your significant other have been invited.

Should I rent a car?

Answer

It'd probably save you a bit of money to ride share everywhere if you are flying in from out of town.

What are the addresses of the wedding ceremony and reception venues?

Answer

The addresses can be found on the Schedule link on our website. If you click on the map button on the Schedule page, it will take you directly to google maps! How neat!

Will the ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception take place indoors or outdoors?

Answer

Everything will be indoors! The Texas sun can be a doozy in August.

Where can I park at the Cathedral Guadalupe and the Adolphus (reception only)?

Answer

For the Cathedral Guadalupe: The most convenient parking is located right next to the Cathedral at Hall Arts Garage, entrances are located on Pearl Street and Crockett Street. Street parking is also available, at no cost, on Flora Street. Please pay attention to the signage along the street as hours of duration vary and valet parking takes precedence. For the Adolphus: Valet Parking is available for the duration of the event and the cost will be covered by us. Just tell them you are attending the Rohling/Garza Wedding. We suggest you ride share if you live in town though because there will be an open bar :)

Have you booked hotel room blocks for guests?

We have reserved hotel blocks at the Adolphus and the Westin. These can be found on the Hotel & Travel tab.

Where should I park if I’m staying at the Adolphus or the Westin overnight?

Answer

Valet parking is available at the Adolphus for $46 a night (the valet rate is increasing for all other guests of the Adolphus but the hotel is honoring this rate for our guests). The Westin offers self-parking for $15 and valet parking for $40 per night. There are also a few parking garages available downtown. Since prices often fluctuate, it is difficult to give you a decent cost estimate ahead of time. The prices and locations of parking garages can be found through a quick google search a few days before the event. If you are flying to Dallas, we suggest using a ride share (Uber, Lyft, etc.) to get from the airport to the hotel rather than renting a car.

How far is the Cathedral Guadalupe from the Adolphus/Westin?

Answer

The church is 1.0 mile (5 mins) from the hotels. While you can walk, we recommend you avoid the trek in the Texas heat. It is an easy ride share to the church, or there is parking available around the church.

What is the easiest way to get around Dallas?

Answer

Ride share is the easiest way to get around the city. Finding parking on the weekend can be tough, but some restaurants offer a valet service. Carter and I usually uber everywhere unless we are going out of the city.

When will the reception end? Will there be an after-party?

Answer

We are ironing out the final details with our wedding venue but will update the end time as soon as we receive a final timeline from them. INFORMAL after-party at the hotel lobby bar for you party animals.

What should I wear? Is there a dress code?

Answer

Tuxes and gowns are welcome, and so are suits and cocktail dresses.
